The Elizabethtown/ Mount Joy Christian Women’s Connection invites area ladies to its “Signs of the Season” brunch, which will take place on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 9:30 a.m. at The Gathering Place, 6 Pine St., Mount Joy. will hold its annual Christmas dinner and party in the social hall at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 11 N. Queen St., Maytown, on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Following a social time from 5:30 to 6 p.m., there will be a dinner buffet from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. The menu will include stuffed chicken breast, beef brisket, glazed ham balls, scalloped potatoes, mixed holiday vegetables, cranberry relish, garden salads, a relish tray, rolls and butter, assorted desserts, and beverages. After dinner, a program will include Maytown Historical Society trivia and Christmas carols. There is a per-person cost to attend, and reservations and payment must be received by Saturday, Dec. 1. Ringing In The Holiday Season With Winterfest By Chelsea Peifer
Main Street Mount Joy (MSMJ) invites the community to its 21st annual Winterfest on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. Local vendors, churches, and organizations will be set up along Main Street from Delta to Barbara streets. The free event will feature live music, crafts, food and beverages, a children’s train ride, walking carolers, and visits with Santa Claus. The evening will culminate with a town tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. located off East Main Street by the town clock. Santa Claus is scheduled to visit with children and families inside the Sheetz Funeral Home, 16 E. Main St., Mount Joy, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. People may bring cameras to take photographs with Santa.
