Farmworker Family Health Program 2025

This cultural immersion program is officially underway in Moultrie, GA! This year, four pre-licensure and two post-licensure students from Emory In MOTION are joining scores of students from Emory School of Nursing, Georgia State, Mercer University, and other organizations in this unique interprofessional, servicelearning experience. In partnership with The Ellenton Clinic, students are delivering preventive care, including screenings and well-child physicals, to children of migrant workers attending a county-sponsored summer school. In the evenings, they provide episodic care to farmworkers directly at farms and housing areas across the agriculturally rich region

Program Evaluation

Compare to broader best practices, trends and standards

Gather participant feedback Understand Context Make program adjustments Assess intended and unintended outcomes

Evaluation of Emory in MOTION includes assessing the merit, value, worth, and significance of the program to NHWSN, HRSA, and our community partners The evaluation process incorporates activities such as conducting focus groups, surveys, and interviews. The active participation of all students, partners, and stakeholders is critical to the success of the program.

Partner surveys - all partners are asked to complete the partner survey sent via email by June 30th.

FWFHP Immersion evaluation - following the FWFHP, all students will be provided an evaluation survey via email.

All students and mobile team providers should continue completing Patient Encounter surveys for all patients seen.

Professional Development

We encourage our Emory In MOTION network to take advantage of these free continuing education modules, developed through a collaboration with 2HEAL (Toward Health Equity and Literacy)

This engaging learning series explores key Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and offers practical, actionable strategies for nurses to recognize and respond to these factors in their daily practice drawing on real-world feedback from nurses in the field

Please continue to share this opportunity with your networks!
