Messages from the McKean County Chambers of Commerce
Hello from the Kane Chamber of Commerce! Although the Covid-19 pandemic definitely put some projects on hold, in Kane we were able to see growth, too. The Kane Historical Preservation Society commissioned a beautiful piece of art to delight residents and visitors at the intersection of Routes 6 and 66. Created from nails, it is a mother wolf and her pups, made to pay tribute to legendary Dr. McCleary for saving the lobo wolves. The Kane VFW Post 1132, Kane Borough, Parks Commission and architect Dave Conklin from Kane Lawn & Garden worked together to revitalize Memorial Point at Evergreen Park. It was dedicated on Memorial Day 2021. This is a sacred place in Kane to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. If you haven’t seen either of these new additions, plan to take a trip to Kane this summer to check it out. While you’re here, dine at one of our many restaurants and shop at our unique retail stores. New things are always happening here in Kane! Save the date for Kane’s Wine Walk on August 6th to benefit the Chamber! And check out our neighbor’s big events: Ludlow Days on July 10th – 11th and The Mt. Jewett Swedish Festival on August 13th – 15th. For more upcoming events, visit www.kanepa.com/events. We will be seeing you around this summer. What an exciting time we’re in! Sincerely,
Kate Kennedy
Kate Kennedy Executive Director Kane Area Development
The Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce was established on December 18, 1882. The incredible history of the chamber started in the midst of the Oil Boom occurring in the hamlet of Bradford. Because of the history of the Bradford Oil Fields, Bradford grew and became the Oil Metropolis of the world. The Chamber still stands strong today. We serve to promote and support local business, large or small. We do this in a variety of ways including our Bradford Chamber Gift Certificates, which keeps money local in our small business’ community. We also provide networking events, education and most importantly facilitate collaboration. The Chamber works with other agencies to help facilitate tourism to our area. Go to our website: bradfordchamber. com to see more information. We support events such as the upcoming Fall Fest happening on Festival Way, September 11 and the 150 Anniversary of the Bradford Oil Fields happening at Penn Brad Museum, September 18. Go to our Facebook page, like and follow, for updates on any upcoming event @ BradfordPAChamber. Sincerely,
