We’re now Cal Poly Humboldt, what's next?

It’s official, like a referee with a whistle. Humboldt State University is now California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt. The institution launched the polytechnic prospectus, a multiyear phased plan, which includes $433 million one-time funding, and $25 million is ongoing funding for the institution starting Jan. 26.

“That $25 million is really to support academic program buildout, recruiting students like yourselves and future students, retention, communicating about our programs, and supporting infrastructure,” said Jenn Capps, provost and vice president of academic affairs, in an Open Forum on Jan. 19.

In that same meeting Capps was able to determine how the one-time funding is being implemented at Cal Poly Humboldt.

“The one time, the $433 million is really about infrastructure: housing, academic buildings, technology, communications, land acquisition, things like that,” said Capps.

Clearing the air There were questions from others about the changes that will be made transitioning to a polytechnic, like the graduate student collective who believe there should be improvements to the prospectus.

Others fear what the update might bring to classes during the transition to a polytechnic. Capps was able to clear up some rumors surrounding the transition.

“There’s absolutely no intention or purpose behind eliminating something that isn’t, air quoted, polytechnic. All of our academic programs are very important, and we would never seek to eliminate programs based on becoming a polytechnic,” Capps said.

Students fear the idea that the tuition will rise because the institution is now a polytechnic, but Capps said the two don’t correlate.

“Polytechnic designation isn’t connected to how much tuition costs or how much fees cost at our institution. Those decisions are made independent of a designation. Tuition is determined at the system level, so I know there’s been a little worry that if we’re a polytechnic and polytechnic are expensive and that might cause students more money. Those two things are not associated with one another,” Capps said.

Emergency funds for students

Cal Poly Humboldt Financial Aid office will be offering emergency funds to students on a case by case basis during the spring 2022 semester. The form to request funds will be available on the Financial Aid website around mid February.

Available funds are limited, as federal funding for emergency money for students has run out. Although there is no deadline for filling out the request form, Peggy Metzger, director of financial aid, expects Cal Poly Humboldt’s funds to expire by the end of the current semester. Eligibility for receiving a grant is on a case by case basis, prioritizing more severe situations while also taking into consideration who has not received these funds in the past.

According to Metzger, approximately 300 new students, and students who have returned after taking breaks during the past few semesters were granted small

sums of money from this reserved funding.

“A combination of new students who are just coming in for spring and also students who may have been students for a while and they just didn’t enroll in fall, didn’t have access to the funds in the fall,” said Metzger. “There are like 300 students in that situation, so just this week we gave some money automatically to them.”

Previous funding was provided by the federal government through the CARES Act, Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF), as well as the American Rescue Plan. As of right now there are no more government funds anticipated to be disbursed in the near future.

Cumbre scholarship opens in February

Cumbre Humboldt is planning to open up another round of scholarship applications on Feb. 15. These scholarships will award five different students $500 for this coming Fall.

Founder and president of Cumbre Humboldt, Lucy Salazar, encourages Latinx students of all ages to apply.

“Any Latinx person who lives in Humboldt County or is attending or planning to attend a college, vocational or technical school in Humboldt County can apply,” wrote Salazar in an email to El Leñador.

“They must also demonstrate financial need. There is no upper age or grade limit.”

Cumbre is a non-profit organization in Humboldt County that aims to support the local Latinx community. They offer enriching opportunities such as scholarships, tutoring, cultural dances, access to technological devices, advocating for accessibility and field trips.

Most importantly, Cumbre Humboldt instills confidence in Latinx students of all ages as they enter the academic realm.

The deadline for this scholarship is still to be determined, however it will be posted on their website as soon as the scholarship officially opens. You can find the Google Form application on their website at www.cumbrehumboldt.org.

With the start of the spring 2022 semester, California State University Polytechnic, Humboldt has seen more students and in-person classes on campus than in the last two years.

A year ago at this time, according to the Institutional Research, Analytics and Reporting, campus was only seeing 7.81% of face-to-face classes.

Right now, the IRAR has reported that 58.59% of classes are face-to-face.

There are now 1,563 students living on campus as compared to fall 2021 with 1,440 students living on campus.

Many student resource offices have moved locations on campus and/or have changed hours and availability. For many freshman and transfer students who are new to campus, even for many returning students, this may be their first time physically on campus in over a year. We want to make sure that students are aware of where all student resources are located.

Educational Services: • Educational Opportunity Program The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is located in the Hadley House 56. They offer a wide range of educational assistance like free printing and various other campus, academic and career related guidance. You can make an appointment to meet with an advisor either in person or over zoom Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

• Library The library is now open 7 days a week, Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m.

- 11 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.- 7 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. - 11 p. m. The library resources include the Student Disability Resource Center in room 055, Writing Studio in room 032, Learning Center in room 055, the Testing center in room 13, and the Academic & Career Advising Center is located in the lower library room 27.

COVID-19 Resources: • Testing Walk-in testing is available on the first floor of the Student Activities Center, left side of the Depot, open Monday and Thursday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Tuesday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Wednesday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Friday 7 a.m. - 12 p.m. There are also vending machines around campus that offer access to rapid COVID-19 tests.

• Masks N95 masks are available on campus in the Student Business Service building at the University Police Department front desk and in College Creek and Jolly Giant mailrooms.

• The Umoja Center for Pan African Student Excellence is a Pan African cultural community that offers career, academic and social guidance for students. They are located in Nelson Hall East room 206.

• El Centro Académico Cultural is a community centered mainly around providing assistance in academic, professional and social development for Latin American students. They are located in Nelson Hall East room 205.

• Indian Tribal & Educational Personnel Program (ITEPP) is a community that helps Indigenous students in their studies through the three colleges of Arts, Humanities & Social Science; Natural Resources & Sciences; and Professional Studies. They are located in the Brero House 93.

• Indian Natural Resources, Science and Engineering Program (INRSEP) is a STEM based house that provides students with research assistance and professional connections. They are located at the Walter Warren House 38.

Current COVID-19 testing and quarantine information

Covid-19 cases continue to rise in Humboldt County. As of Feb. 1, there have been a total of 17,509 cases since the pandemic began.

The Department of Human Health Services, the Center for Disease Control, and the California Department of Public Health recommend the following:

When to get tested

You should immediately get tested for COVID-19 if you are feeling any symptoms – regardless of your vaccination status.

COVID-19 symptoms can feel like a common cold seasonal allergies or flu.

After being exposed to someone with COVID-19.

What to do after being exposed?

• If you were fully vaccinated when exposed, you do not need to quarantine unless you develop symptoms. Vaccinated people should get tested 5-7 days after close contact with someone who has recently tested positive, even if they don’t develop symptoms.

• If you’ve been exposed to COVID-19 and are not fully vaccinated, get tested right away and quarantine for at least five days. If you test negative, retest 5-7 days after your exposure date.

• If you have recovered from COVID-19 in the last three months and have had no new symptoms since your recent exposure, you do not need to get tested.

The CDC recommends people take precautions until 10 days after exposure and avoid being around people who are at high risk.

What to do if you test positive?

Community: If you tested positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms, regardless of vaccination status: • Stay home for five days and isolate yourself from others in your home.

• If you have symptoms, end isolation after five full days and if symptoms are no longer present or are resolving.

• If you did not have symptoms, end isolations at least five days after your positive test.

Cal Poly Humboldt students: Same as above. Students should also contact the Student Health & Wellbeing Services. You can email health@humboldt.edu or call 707-826-3146.

Isolation guidelines

The CDC recommends that people who test positive for COVID-19 or are showing symptoms of COVID-19 need to be isolated regardless of their vaccination status.

• People who have a positive viral test for COVID-19 should isolate, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.

• People with symptoms of COVID-19 should isolate, including people who are awaiting test results or have not been tested.

Isolation recommendations for multi-family homes.

For those who may share a room with someone who has symptoms, the CDPH recommends: • Make sure the room has good airflow • Maintain at least six feet between beds if possible.

• Sleep head to toe, or with faces at least six feet apart.

• Use a separate bathroom or one that can be disinfected after use.

When to seek help

Recommendations for Masks

If you experience any one of the following emergency warning signs, call 911 and get medical attention immediately: • Trouble breathing.

• Bluish lips or face.

• Persistent pain or pressure in the chest.

• New confusion or inability to arouse.

• New numbness or tingling in the extremities.

• Other serious symptoms.

• Make sure no air is flowing from the area near your eyes or from the sides of the mask.

• For cloth masks, multiple layers of tightly woven, breathable fabric is recommended • Masks should have a nose wire • Use fabric that blocks light when held up to a bright light source The CDC states that while all masks and respirators like an N95 provide some level of protection, properly fitting respirators provide the highest level of protection.

Free at-home rapid antigen testing

Who can get vaccinated and/ or boosted and where?

Residential households in the U.S. can order one set of 4 free at-home tests from USPS.com.

• Limit of one order per residential address • One order includes 4 individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests • To order visit: www.covidtests.gov

According to the CDC, adults, and children, age five years and older can now get Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines.

COVID-19 vaccine booster shots are now authorized for everyone 12 years and older in the U.S. Vaccines in your area can be found at www.vaccines.gov.

Free masks

Where to call for information about testing sites and vaccination information for Spanish speakers?

Rite-aid, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and local pharmacies are offering free N-95 masks. People can get three masks per person.

Soy Artista: Producer, composer and rapper Dillon Avery Harp

Gospel and jazz music played all throughout the home and childhood memories of Dillon Avery Harp. Music runs in his genes, and those sounds have sparked the feelings inside Harp to learn, compose and produce his own music.

Harp writes his own music and produces all the beats and instrumentals from a home studio he built himself. Harp considers his music to be a mix of jazz, hip-hop, lo-fi, and ambient sounds. Some of his influences outside of his family include Sade, DJ Screw, and many other artists from Houston.

“A lot of my music is really an expression of self,” Harp said. “For the most part, it’s really about Black representation in all forms and empowering my people.”

Harp is currently working on a beat cassette tape project that will include a variety of instrumentals, lo-fi sounds, and many different samples of old-school Black power movements and freestyles.

Discovering Music Theory Around middle school, Harp began playing with local bands and that inspired him to create music of his own. Harp took it into his own hands to begin learning more about music theory by reading books from his local library that taught him to read, understand and compose music.

“When you listen to my music, most of it is composed of all influences of life, past and present,” Harp said. “I want to keep spreading that message and I want to work to bring my people’s culture to more modern audiences and stuff, and keep it alive because it’s important as a Black American.”

Getting to know Harp Music has always been a part of Harp’s life. Before his father’s passing when Harp was six years old he watched and looked up to his father who was a saxophonist at church. At 13 years old, Harp wondered about what his father would’ve listened to, the things he would’ve played, and naturally started to get into listening to more jazz musicians from the 1950s and on.

Black-owned business: Dewy’s Beauty Boutique

After experiencing the lack of hair & beauty products for the Black community in Humboldt- in 2016, Jessica McGruer saw the need to open Dewy’s Beauty Boutique in Eureka.

“It feels good to be able to help people, especially people who look like me,” McGruder said.

Before Dewey’s Beauty Boutique, there wasn’t a location that welcomed and helped the Black community find the right hair products. Without the right hair care products disposable to her fingertips McGruer would travel out of town or online shop for the products that fit her hair.

At Dewy’s Beauty Boutique you can find products ranging from Black-owned hair care products, braiding hair, weaving hair and wigs to jewelry, butterfly hair clips, eyelashes and lip gloss.

“My boutique, to me, means the world to me,” McGruer said. “It’s been a humbling experience and I am really blessed to be in the situation that I am right now.”

McGruder adds that she gets emotional just thinking of the business and the success it has brought her. She ultimately gets to help others that have experienced similar moments in Humboldt.

Growing up Locally McGruder was born in Eureka and has gone back and forth to Oakland where her father’s family resides. She opens up about how rough it was growing up as a biracial mixed person in Humboldt, as she found herself, like most people, not being able to fit in on one side or the other.

McGruder’s sisters have played a major role in creating community and family in her life.

“It was amazing watching my sister bring Dewy’s to life here in Humboldt,” said Levia Love, McGruder’s sister. Love is also the owner of Bling Brow Bar in Eureka.

McGruder’s sisters have supported the dream of Dewy’s Beauty Boutique and have collaborated with each other to make their dreams possible. According to Love, Dewy’s Beauty Boutique continues to show the BIPOC community that they aren’t alone and that they are loved and supported in the shop.

“When I walk into Dewy’s Beauty Boutique, I feel like I’m walking into a friend’s home. I feel welcomed and like they care that I’m in their shop,” said customer Chryste Johnson. “They initiate conversation and genuinely care how you’re doing.”

McGruder wants to open a second store near Cal Poly Humboldt to make it easier for students - her main customers - to get the supplies they need.

Black Humboldt: making Black voices heard

This April Black Humboldt will celebrate its 4-year anniversary. The organization was co-founded by Monique Harper-Desir and Dionna Ndlovu. An organization created to be a safe and fun space for Black community members in a county that is overwhelmingly White.

Harper-Desir has lived in Humboldt County since 2015 when she arrived from Massachusetts with her roommate.

Having lived in the area for some time she noticed that there wasn’t really a strong Black presence.

“The closest thing that existed was a group called BMEN, which stands for Black Male Empowerment Network but that was exclusively for men,” Harper-Desir said. “As well as the African American Center for Academic Excellence at HSU that provided resources for Black students.”

Black Humboldt’s mission statement is to “enlighten, empower and entertain our Black community in Humboldt County through events made FOR US and BY US.” Since it began, Black Humboldt has held networking mixers, cultural events and resources for the Black and Brown members of Humboldt. One of their goals is to create, maintain, and sustain economic empowerment for the Black community in Humboldt County.

“It has grown a lot,” said Harper-Desir. “We have expanded our directory of Black-owned businesses and outreach in our community in general is at least three or four times as many Black members than we had since the beginning.”

Black Book for Humboldt County Recently Black Humboldt collaborated with the Umoja Center for Pan African Student Excellence at Cal Poly Humboldt to create a Black Book* for Humboldt County.

“Students in the center were thinking about ways we can get resources to our Black campus community,” said Douglas Smith, Umoja center coordinator.

The Umoja center asked Black Humboldt if they would add their black and people of color business directory to the Black Book. They agreed and the Umoja center had the book published in spring

2021. An updated version of the Black Book is set to be released sometime this year. People can find a pdf version of the book at www.umoja.humboldt.edu.

Jaguar Smith, student assistant at the Umoja Center has been collaborating with Black Humboldt to create events for students and local Black community members.

“As far as I know Black Humboldt has been the first one in our generation to make it a point to create a community outside of campus,” Jaguar Smith said.

Currently, she is organizing a movie night event in collaboration with Black Humboldt at Northtown Coffee that is set to be held on Feb. 11 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Community Resources Black Humboldt has been able to give back to the Black and Brown community in Humboldt County through projects like the Home Alone Project and COVID-19 relief funds.

can’t afford to go home to see their families. This project provides home-cooked meals as well as small gifts to make people feel at home in Humboldt county.

Black Humboldt also ran a podcast called Black Aesthetic where they invited local Black artists and community members to talk about their work or what it means to live the Black experience in everything from arts to life in general.

Currently, it is unsure when it will return.

Future Goals and Events Harper-Desir hopes that Black Humboldt will get a community center in the future, “right now we are not located anywhere, and we are just a group of volunteers putting stuff in our garages,” she said. “But if none of those things come true, we are happy at being a resource to the Black and Brown community.”

Series review: 'Insecure' and it's fifth final season

Issa Rae’s critically acclaimed HBO Max series, “Insecure”, aired it’s fifth and final season on Oct. 24, 2021. Rae starred in the show loosely based on her life and web series “Awkward Black Girl” as the series main protagonist, Issa Dee. When we first meet Issa in season one, she recites hastily written raps into the mirror to pump herself up with a bit of confidence. We can tell why she’s insecure… she's working a soul-sucking job at the cringe-worthy non-profit “We Got Y’all” and her long-term boyfriend, Lawrence (Jay Ellis), has very little motivation to find a job.

Fast forward to the final season and Issa finds herself deciding between choices she didn’t know were in front of her the entire show. Instead of raps, she’s now having discussions with her mirror-self, thinking critically about her life.

As she steps into her power we watch her navigate how to build her company The BLOCC using the resources and wisdom she has. Final season Issa is a far cry from first season Issa who doubted herself and her abilities. But no matter the season it’s easy to root for Issa, she’s genuine, has dope style and is just awkward enough to make you feel comfortable and probably giggle.

"Insecure" is a true love letter to the city of Los Angeles; all of its palm trees and possibilities that draw the most ambitious to its streets. Issa, who lives in Inglewood, hosts The BLOCC’s events at Leimert Park. Worldwide Tacos becomes her mainstay eatout. Even her apartment, The Dunes, has become a cultural

landmark for fans of the show who travel to take pictures in front of it. "Insecure’s" outliers, like Thug Yoda (Tristen J. Winger), one of Issa’s old neighbors who pronounces his C’s as B’s, humanizes the typical tropes of Black characters who make up the City of Angels.

And the music! Who could forget the music. Do yourself a favor and run over to the Insecure Spotify playlist because it has all the bangers and bops (this is not an ad). The soundtrack to each episode expertly tells the story of its geography.

During season two’s episode “Hella LA,” LA-based artist Syd, DJ’s at a party. In “Reunited, Okay?” Kamayiah and Too Short rep for the Bay Area when the crew links at their Alma Mater, Stanford, for the final season.

Throughout the seasons, we get an intimate look at Issa’s friendship with Molly (Yvonne Orji), a blooming lawyer who finds her way in law and in love. We watch her sickenly bougie friend Tiffany (Amanda Seales), find her humility and learn to trust her friends. Kelli, expertly played by Natasha Rothwell, adds a natural comic-relief that we all could use more of. (Kelli spin-off anyone? HBO we’re looking at you)! The foundation of sisterhood is a thread throughout the show whom those who have chosen their family can relate to.

Over the last five seasons Issa grows as a person, a friend and a lover. “Insecure’s” relatability is found in that growth. We can relate to Issa’s friend break-ups and make-ups. We can relate to Molly be-

grudgingly going to therapy. We can relate to Lawrence taking responsibility for his actions. We can relate to the mistakes they make, the lessons they learn and how they apply them.

“Insecure” is iconic, period. It’s a revolution in art that is outstandingly Black.

From it’s cast to it’s crew, “Insecure” is rooted in real and authentic stories of the Black diaspora. The series finale doesn’t feel rushed or unfinished, yet there is a bittersweetness in the normalcy of it all: all good things must come to an end.

Even though the series is over, you can binge-watch the entire show on HBO Max. There is also an after-show following each episode, podcasts related to the show and a special film documenting the final season.

Our administration is putting students, faculty and staff at risk

It was the first day back of spring 2022 semester at Cal Poly Humboldt - then Humboldt State University - students attended their first in-person classes and probably wanted to grab a meal and relax in the dining hall.

However, a press release titled “All Campus Dining Grab-and Go” was sent to students that day, mentioning that “Campus eateries will provide grab-andgo food until further notice … this reduces potential spread of the COVID-19 virus.”

This upsetted many Cal Poly Humboldt students including myself, particularly because of the mixed guidelines and hypocrisy of Cal Poly Humboldt for allowing in-person instruction to continue amidst the growing surge of new Covid-19 cases in Humboldt County.

Cal Poly Humboldt currently has very high COVID-19 vaccination rates from the fall 2021 semester and the university already mandates students to get a COVID-19 booster shot to be considered fully vaccinated. With that, the University also includes strict mandatory testing to those who aren’t vaccinated.

So can the University’s strict COVID-19 regulations be good reason-

ing for allowing in-person instruction?

Not anymore. That justification has been weakened due to the increase of coronavirus cases in Humboldt County.

The Humboldt County Public Health has now recorded over 3,500 positive COVID-19 cases since the start of 2022.

Humboldt County’s Public Health Officer Dr. Ian Hoffman has stated during a press briefing, on Jan. 20, that “we’re still not at the peak yet” of the continuing skyrocketed new cases of COVID-19 outbreaks.

On Jan. 18, Cal Poly Humboldt approximately reported 114 new COVID-19 cases among students and employees.

As the cases are rising in Humboldt County the likelihood of a Cal Poly

Humboldt student or faculty member getting infected increases. Having in-person instruction at this time is a dangerous risk that the University administrators are willing to take. This makes me raise my eyebrow and makes me question, will our University officials continue to risk the health of everyone here at Cal Poly Humboldt?

It also really begs the question, how is our University’s administration justifying in-person classes at a time when local and University officials are reporting an increase of new COVID-19 cases? As a student, I am really frustrated at how Humboldt State officials aren’t taking a proactive approach to implement a

temporary virtual learning to protect the students, faculty, and staff, from the rapid spread of the coronavirus.

Along with an online petition from Cal Poly Humboldt students, members of the California Faculty Association have asked Humboldt State officials to rethink their position regarding in-person instruction. Even fourteen CSU campuses have switched to temporary remote learning amongst the COVID-19 surge. While the case for a temporary virtual learning gained momentum, it has fallen flat to our University administrators. This puts our students, faculty, staff, and especially immunocompromised people, at risk of being infected with COVID-19.

“Free” iPads for new and transfer students, why didn’t I receive an iPad?

Eager to go back on campus for in person classes, the first stop I made after class was the library to reminisce on those late hard working nights. As I approached the front steps, I saw two tables with sun tents pitched over them.

At first I thought maybe this was how they were checking student IDs to enter the library. The people running the tables met me with smiles and asked if I was there to pick up my iPad. Confused, I said, “No, but can I have an iPad?” They explained that I was not eligible because the iPads were only for new freshmen and transfer students. I left frustrated, because I couldn’t understand why only new students had access to the iPads.

If I had been attending Cal Poly Humboldt for almost four years now, two of which were during a pandemic, where was my incentive to keep pushing through school?

The Investigation

My immediate response was to research where exactly these iPads were coming from and why returning students were not included. A simple Google search brought me to Cal Poly Humboldt’s information page on their website.

There was no contact information on who I could talk to on campus about this program.

I started my quest to find an actual person I could contact by calling places like the Help Desk and the Chief Information Officer, Bethany Rizzardi. That task was easier said than done, because after constant calls, emails, and voicemails, I only received a response from Drew Meyers, the Tech Help Desk Lead.

Eventually I was able to talk with Breck Robinson, who is the Director of ITS Customer Care. He was able to provide some answers to my questions.

Here's what you need to know: The CSU system has launched a

program called CSUCCESS, which aims to close equity gaps and support academic excellence. The focus on new students was to support them as they started college during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Robinson, Cal Poly Humboldt did not have any say in only providing new students with iPads.

“That was a decision made by the Chancellor’s office,” said Robinson. “The program was sponsored by the Chancellor’s office, and the Chancellor himself was very excited about the opportunity to make sure that new students had the equipment they needed to be successful.”

I figured everyone was busy with the rebranding of Cal Poly Humboldt. However, I couldn’t help but feel even more frustrated that a select group of students were receiving iPads, and not one administrator was willing to talk about it.

How would an iPad help me?

It goes without saying that note taking

on an iPad with an Apple Pencil is superior to pen and paper. The accessibility of all your work for every class in such a light device makes iPads an efficient, and effective academic resource.

Working full time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic made it more difficult to balance school and work. Receiving an iPad would help bring my school work anywhere I go. Making it much more convenient to study on breaks. iPads also make necessary travel during the academic year less of a mess. It is always a challenge trying to pack light when I drive to the Bay Area for medical visits. Having an iPad would reduce the load immensely since I’d no longer need to bring all my notebooks and heavy laptop.

Dear Indigenous Immigrant Community, To those of us who continue to work tirelessly, despite the increase in COVID-19infections: Centro del Pueblo denounces the lack of communication and information in the different languages spoken, as well as the lack of support of the Humboldt County officials in the face of the COVID-19 crisis.

We denounce the terrible condition of racism during the pandemic towards our Indigenous Immigrant community. We are a Sanctuary county for migrants, we have built safe spaces in Sanctuary gardens and we will protect them, we will not stop until our community feels safe and empowered.

As racial hatred grows, our dedication to our families increases.

Remember: If your COVID-19 test is positive and IF you have symptoms, stay in quarantine 5-10 days from the onset of symptoms. If your test is positive and you have NO symptoms, you need to quarantine 5-10 days after your first positive test.
