Beware of these COMICAL CAMPAIGNS
and NOT Represent us the Constituent's. BEWARE OF THESE POLITICAL GRANDSTANDERS. This NOTE is the opinion and observation of Darryl E. Blair Sr (Personally) and is an entertaining article for thought.
COMICAL CAMPAIGNS.
Zachariah Manning for 30th Congressional, Michelle McKinney for Judge of the 301st court, Bryan Woodard for Constable Precinct 4, James Rodgers for 30th Congressional Dist., and Nurse Debbie Walker for Texas’ 30th Congressional District
For the past 6 election cycles we have had in my estimation, a flurry of Office seekers of nonConsequential candidates and Campaign's, people who are making mockery of our (Black) political prowess and involvement. These Individuals in my earnest opinion are running SHADOW AND COVERT SIGN CAMPAIGNS, as well as FACEBOOK, and INSTAGRAM Social Media Campaigns with History or Body of Work, they have NO content, NO Engagement of the Issues, NO points of reference, NO sweat equity, and NO following, they are repeatedly running for office under NEW Slogans, New Positions sought after, New Districts or Offices and even NEW faces but the same OLD BROKE REFERENCE AND REPRESENTATION, it is High time that we STOP these Unpolished, Unproven, and Unprepared. In Summation it's enough that we have ENOUGH PISS POOR REPRESENTAION IN PUBLIC OFFICE / REPRESENTATION already and can ill afford to take on WATER from Meaningless and UNQUALIFIED glory seekers, only to become (in their minds) Elected officials (really Elected VIP's) who seek to be above us

Dallas could ban people from standing or walking in the street to curb panhandling
By Steven Pickering
Under the new ordinance, an officer could issue a citation to someone standing or walking in the median.
“We know that they’re there for purposes of solicitation, but we will no longer have to actually observe that solicitation take place,” said Chief Pughes. “So it’s going to put us in a little bit better position, but the goal is still not to take enforcement
action. We know that the law enforcement aspect of this program is the last-case scenario, where we come in and we need to take some action as it relates to enforcement activities.”
The citations would be processed through the city’s Community Court. The Dallas City Council is scheduled to vote on the new regulations at their meeting today.
The Dallas City Council will consider some new regulations today aimed at cutting down on panhandling. The proposed new ordinances would allow officers with the City Marshal’s Office to issue citations to people standing or walking in the median.
City officials have received dozens of reports about panhandling at busy intersections. City officials say it’s dangerous for people in the median to try to interact with people in cars, but that activity has been difficult to stop under current city regulations.
“The current ordinance requires that the officer actually see the individual that’s adjacent to the roadway trying to get the attention, trying to make the solicitation occur,” said Chief David Pughes with the Office of Integrated Public Safety Solutions. “We know when you’re in a marked vehicle and they see that marked vehicle coming...that the activity changes.”

Rules Without a Ruling: Part II
By Miles D. Peterson
during a divorce or suit affecting the parent child relationship. You are allowed to engage in acts reasonable and necessary to conduct your usual business and operation. Meaning that if you run your own business and you have a bank account for that business, you can continue to spend as necessary to ensure your business continues as normal. You are also allowed to pay reasonable living expenses. The key word here is reasonable. So, things like food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and transportation are ok. Things like a new boat or 80-inch OLED television are not. And lastly you are
permitted to use community funds to hire an attorney to represent you. There are four other provisions at the end of the orders that I won’t cover. That’s not to say they aren’t important, but they don’t lay out the automatic do’s and don’ts like the other provisions. If you would like to examine a copy of the Dallas Standing Orders they can be found dallascounty.org. If you are currently involved in a divorce or case concerning your child in Dallas County and would like to know how the orders apply to you, feel free to give me a call or shoot me an email, I’ll be happy to explain further.
Last week I wrote about standing orders, specifically Dallas County’s. This week we’ll continue to discuss the provisions of the Dallas County Standing Orders, and what they mean for your case.
We last left off on section four of the orders. As previously mentioned, these provisions deal with community property and how it is to be handled during the divorce. In addition to preventing spouses from liquidating and selling off community assets, section four also prohibits the destroying of financial records, electronically stored information relating to the case, and any data or content from social media. That means you cannot go and scrub all of the pictures of your soon to be ex just because you are divorcing them. You are also prohibited from terminating or changing the limits on credit cards and opening or redirecting your spouse’s mail.
Section five deals exclusively with personal and business records. It contains two very simple provisions. Don’t destroy, hide, or forge any records relating to you are your spouse during the case. Section six concerns insurance policies. During a case you cannot withdraw or borrow money from life insurance policies on either you or your spouse. You also cannot change your beneficiaries from your spouse or children while the suit is ongoing. And finally, you cannot cancel or alter your auto, life, or health insurance policies.
Section seven provisions are important, because they are specific authorizations to what you can do
You Gotta’ Have Faith!
Dallas citizens do not want three more years of soft-on-crime policies. We need Faith Johnson to advocate as our leader.
While serving as DA, Faith was committed to protecting communities and opened fourteen DA satellite offices to help more victims of family violence. She strengthened community relations through programs like the “Blue on the Block” forum.
Faith Johnson
Early voting is underway in Dallas County and Faith Johnson is running for Criminal District Attorney. Anyone with a ballot in Dallas County can vote for her regardless of party affiliation. Faith Johnson has been gaining momentum amongst southern and south Dallas residents as they have witnessed a dramatic uptick in crime under the soft leadership of her opponent. Faith’s appeal to all areas of Dallas County has risen since her most recent poll within the last 60 days, surpassing the incumbent.
Faith Johnson’s campaign has been centered around smart solutions to crime and theft issues in Dallas County. According to the district attorney’s office, they will not prosecute theft of personal items less than $750 unless evidence shows that the alleged theft was for economic gain. Our most vulnerable residents are feeling the heat from these weak policies. Her opponent has been dubbed ‘Let-em-Go Creuzot’ as an outcry from those suffering under his failed leadership.
Faith has established proven leadership after handling thousands of felony cases from drug possession to capital murder. She has been praised by The Dallas Morning News as an “exceptional” public leader. As your Dallas County District Attorney, Faith will be committed to following her oath and seeking justice for all. It is imperative we build a criminal justice system we are proud of for our city, community, and our future. We can do this by casting our vote for Faith Johnson.
A vote for Faith Johnson is a vote to a return justice by using the law to fight lawlessness.
Please check out Faith’s extensive qualifications for the role at https:// faithjohnsonforda.com/faithjohnson.
Early voting will continue through Friday, November 4 and Election Day is Tuesday, November 8 from 7am – 7pm. Please tell your friends to vote because YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH!

THE VOTE THAT COSTS US NOTHING CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING
Supporters of Prop A
Investing in Fair Park will bring attention, tourists, resources, jobs and economic development to South Dallas.
Prop A authorizes funding for $300 million in renovations for Fair Park, the largest investment made since it was built in 1936. Funding will enable the upgrading of six of the largest buildings and the addition of needed amenities like dining, shopping and restrooms.
A modern Fair Park in South Dallas means bigger shows, more entertainment and consistent local and tourist traffic flowing through our community. The upgrades will spur neighboring economic development. Visitor traffic will open opportunities for new venues in South Dallas that can flourish, driven by a fresh vision and streets flowing with people, activity and energy.
Prop A is a win for Fair Park and its South Dallas home. Best of all, when you VOTE YES FOR PROP A, Dallas residents won’t pay an increase in property or sales tax. Prop A will allow a 2% increase in the hotel tax that guests pay when they stay in Dallas. It’s the vote that costs us nothing but can change everything.

Charles Barkley just received a huge raise!
NBA great Charles Barkley has agreed to a 10-year, $100 million contract extension to remain at TNT.
“It’s a life-changing deal”, Charles said, “And by the way, it’s closer to $200 million..... I’ve been rich and I’ve been poor”, says Charles. “And while being rich is better, being poor showed me how hard people work to provide for their families.”
He’s given millions to his beloved Auburn University.
He’s given a million dollars each to several historically black colleges and universities. Miles College, ClarkAtlanta, Morehouse, Alabama A&M, Tuskegee, and Spelman Women’s College are included.
That’s not all, as Charles has given back to the folks in his native Leeds, Alabama. He’s purchased laptops for all of the schools in the district. He’s donated over $3 million in scholarships so students can attend college.
He’s purchased band uniforms, even donated cleaning supplies, and he’s done it quietly, yet proudly. Charles gave $1,000 to each and every Leeds school system employee for a year-end bonus.
Educators, teachers, bus drivers, custodians and so many others who are working so hard. Charles once again put his money where his heart is.

Resound the Alarm
Let’s Talk High School Dropout Prevention
In my 14 years of working in education, I specialize in creating groundbreaking deterrents to redirect and reengage students back into the classroom through initiatives. Some of them include: good and improved attendance fieldtrips to the Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers Game; essay contests and the winners receive a brand-new pair of athletic footwear, bikes, PlayStation Games, Amazon gift cards and more. The goal is to bring awareness around the importance of school attendance and the outcome so far has been successful. These lifechanging experiences will impact the students forever.

National Dropout Prevention Specialist
Dona Gassaway Mitchell
October is National Dropout Prevention Awareness Month. Too often do we see similar patterns of high school dropouts across the nation and the impact they bring on economy through the high cost of incarceration, health care, welfare, unemployment and etc. From academic failure, disengagement and teen pregnancy to crime, drug use and mental ill, it’s time to resound the alarm on dropout crisis. Let’s talk prevention.
Since 2015, Texas decriminalized the Compulsory Attendance Law, and more pressure was put on schools to use Truancy Prevention Measures (TPM) to prevent going to truancy court. Some of the TPM include: 3-day and 8-day warning letters, parent conferences, home visits, parent phone calls and emails. Listed below are other ways to prevent truancy and dropout preventions through the TPM: School-based services: parental involvement, mentorship, conflict resolution, peer to peer programs, family programs, homeless and foster youth services, sports, clubs and organizations.
Community-based services: church resources, substance abuse programs, mental health programs, teen parenting classes, domestic violence outreach and runaway services.
Parents, for ways to get involve, contact your child’s school Community, for ways to get involve, contact your local school district
My motto: Be the Voice, Be the Change, inspires me to work in lightning speed to keep students from truancy and dropping out.
