O Imperial War Museum organiza até janeiro uma temporada de exposições e eventos sob o título genérico “Culture Under Attack”. As exposições procuram explorar os impactos da guerra contra a cultura. Desde os prédios que construímos para as nossas comunidades até às coisas tangíveis e intangíveis, ou seja, tudo aquilo que valorizamos como indivíduos, cada exposição convida os visitantes a considerar o que acontece quando a cultura é ameaçada ou quando se torna no alvo prioritário e é deliberadamente aniquilada. www.iwm.org.uk
“CULTURE UNDER ATTACK” AT THE IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM JULY 5 TO JANUARY 5
The Imperial War Museum has until January a season of exhibitions and events under the generic title “Culture Under Attack”. The exhibitions aim to explore the war impacts on culture. From the buildings we construct for our communities to the tangible and intangible things, i.e., everything we value as individuals, each exhibition invites the visitors to consider what happens when culture is threatened or it becomes the main target and is intentionally destroyed.
