Verification visits by Immigration Institute

Areas of Interest: Companies with non-‐Mexican employees. Immigration The National Immigration Institute is enforcing revisions in the immigration status of employees of multinational companies through verification visits without prior notice. In these visits the following points are reviewed: • Basic File of the Company. • List of employees who work in the company indicating nationality. • Legal Status of the foreigners. • Notices of the foreigners that no longer work in the Company duly filed before the Institute. Therefore, we recommend that you have all the documents of the Company duly updated. The authorities require: • Basic File updated. • Notarial instruments containing the articles and incorporation and bylaws of the Company and any amendments to the bylaws. • Copy of Power of Attorney of the Legal Representative. • List of employees specifying their name, job title and nationality. • Copy of the Immigration documents of the foreign workers.

El Instituto Nacional de Migración está llevando a cabo inspecciones del estatus migratorio de los empleados de empresas multinacionales, mediante sin previo aviso. En dichas visitas se realizan las siguientes revisiones: • Expediente Básico. • Listas de la Nacionalidad del Personal. • Situación Legal de los Extranjeros. • Avisos de baja al instituto de los extranjeros que han dejado de prestar sus servicios a la empresa. Por lo anterior, les sugerimos tener al día la documentación a cargo de la Empresa. Esta documentación consiste en: • Constancia de Empleador, al corriente. • Fotocopia de la Escritura Constitutiva de la Empresa o de última modificación de la Escritura constitutiva, si la hubo. • Fotocopia del testimonio notarial en la que conste el nombramiento del Representante Legal • Lista de Personal actualizada señalando nombre nacionalidad y puesto • Fotocopias de las Tarjetas expedidas por el Instituto Nacional de Migración a los
