PEDIATRIC
In the month of June, our “Looking Towards the Future” program was a great success in Mazatenango, where we reached hundreds of children and teachers to provide them with education and joy.
The main objective of the program is to promote visual health care in Guatemalan children. Through informative talks and practical workshops, we train children on the importance of maintaining good eye hygiene, healthy vision habits, and how to prevent common eye diseases.
In addition to training, we conduct free visual acuity assessments for all participating children. This allowed us to identify those children who could have vision problems and refer them to a specialist for timely care.
To end the program on a high note, we organized a fun activity full of joy for the children. We distribute piñatas, spare parts, candy and toys, creating an atmosphere of happiness and recreation.
