Haar vader Applaus sprong succesvol op 1.45m-niveau en bracht al een aantal getalenteerde springpaarden waaronder Elion V, gereden door de Ierse ruiter Jonathan McCrea. Elisabeth is een telg uit de bekende Holsteiner stam 18a2 waar ook tophengsten als Untouchable, Clinton en Chambertin en vroegere stempelhengsten als Farn en Ronald uit voortkomen.
