BUD BILLIKEN PARADE

DTLR participated in the 2021 Bud Billiken Parade in Chicago, IL. Along with Power 92 Chicago, DTLR’s Street Team Truck had prime placement in the parade route which stretched from 39th & King Drive to 51st & King Drive and was televised on ABC Chicago. The Bud Billiken Parade is an annual parade that has been held since 1929 on Chicago’s South Side and is the largest African-American parade in the United States of America.

5K RUN reading, pa
In the heart of Downtown Reading, PA; DTLR teamed up with Nemesis Fitness one more time to engage the community in a colorful and fun time with another 5K run. About 300 people of all ages came out to run or walk the 3.1 miles as they were splattered with colored chalk for every milestone they achieved. They were motivated throughout the run, led by a DJ and the Massive Host King Flexxa himself, who also participated! The run was followed by food and refreshments provided by LetsTacoBoutIt, Sugar & Sweets by Ami and Juice C by Carolin (all local establishments of the Downtown Reading area). All participants received Color Run t-shirts, bandanas, sunglasses and a 5K run medal for their accomplishment.

JORDAN BACK TO SCHOOL

At KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy, DTLR and Jordan teamed up to empower the youth to be FEARLESS once again as they approach the beginning of the school year; giving them the confidence they need to return to class. The DTLR team provided the school with Jordan book bags filled with school supplies including pencils. erasers, notebooks, crayons, rulers, etc. To culminate the event, the students received a DTLR x Jordan T-shirt and a Jordan Coloring Book designed by Dyymond Whipper-Young.

DTLR Marketing partnered with Chicago Public Schools, Brand Jordan & Urban Fetes for the “Welcome Back Bash” at Benjamin Mayes Elementary School and Bennett Elementary School on Chicago’s South Side. With WGCI’s DJ Mile High on sound control and the DTLR / Jordan wrapped Air Streamer on-site, we passed out Jordan Brand / DTLR coloring books to students. We also raffled off DTLR gift cards to students and parents, passed out school supplies including face masks and hand sanitizers. DTLR is proud to welcome back our student / customer base for the 2021/2022 school year safely and responsibly.

HARRIS STOWE UNIVERSITY

DTLR Marketing welcomed back the freshman class of Harris Stowe University in St. Louis, Missouri at orientation as a part of our #DTLRHBCU Tour. The event took place on the Harris Stowe University campus promenade with over 200 new and returning students present. DTLR DJ & St. Louis native, Kidd Boogie, provided the soundtrack for the event and held contests with students to win DTLR gift cards alongside of the DTLR branded 360 photo booth. We capped off the evening by presenting two freshmen students a $1,000 scholarship each to help towards books and fees courtesy of DTLR.

hanover, md Thursday, August 12 th DTLR hosted a “Lit Lobby” at the Aloft Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland giving fans the chance to meet and take pictures with Baltimore’s own Roddy Rackzz. The event celebrated his new album “Realest Richest Youngin” and his signing to Def Jam. The night also included the debut of his documentary which was well received. DTLR provided music by DJ Scottie B, drinks sponsored by Hennessy, and food catered by Chef Arthur.

DTLR presented another “Lit Lobby” event at the Aloft Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland featuring the NBA Basketball Player and Artist, Iman Shumpert. The event included an interview on DTLR Radio with the Basketball Player as well as a Q &A session. Fans were given the chance to meet and take pictures with Iman celebrating his accomplishments in basketball, music, and in television with his TV Show “Teyana & Iman”. DJ Scottie B created the vibe with drinks sponsored by Hennessy and food catered by KDW Catering.
