At Braemar College, our sporting program stands as a dynamic pillar of the student experience Our Middle and Senior School structure creates a unique approach to learning, butdoesnotfitintoaconventionalsportscompetitionmodel.

For our Year 5 and 6 students, the Macedon Ranges District Sporting Competition offers the chance to compete against local primary schools, fostering early exposure to competitive sport.Meanwhile,ourYear7to12studentsengageintheIndependentCountryCoeducational Schools (ICCES) competition, a highly competitive platform that brings together some of the strongestathletesinregionalVictorianindependentschools

ICCES competitions are conducted differently from typical Saturday sports, with major carnivals such as swimming, athletics, and cross-country held at elite venues, including MSAC and Albert Park Seasonal sports such as AFL are contested through dedicated day carnivals, while multi-day events like the Winter Tour in Shepparton support a multitude of sportsinaregionaltownship

Our coaches are also our teachers, ensuring a holistic approach to student-athlete development. Training occurs during lunchtimes, maximizing student participation while balancingacademiccommitments

As competition for team spots is fierce, our students learn valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline,andresilience essentialtraitsthatextendbeyondtheplayingfield Staytunedfor moresportingupdatesinupcomingBraemarNewseditions.
