Do you remember the first time you visited Portugal? My first visit was many years ago and I remember that the Algarve immediately felt like home. That very first visit, I made unforgettable memories with family and friends, enjoyed the relaxing lifestyle and ate delicious food. It was as if time stood still. Right at that moment, I knew I wanted to spend more time in this beautiful country.

I was working for a real estate company in Holland at that time. Each day, I experienced true joy as an estate agent. It was only weeks later that the idea of helping buyers and sellers in the Algarve was born.

With the first Divine Home office opening in Albufeira, our small team started helping buyers and sellers throughout the Algarve. With this first office, we established the Divine Home brand in the Algarve.

In 2009, we opened an office in Holland to expand our market share among Dutch and Belgian clients. Being able to provide a local office near to their home has proven to be a great success.

Over time, we have faced some great challenges. You no doubt remember the economic crisis of 2009-2015. It was a hard time for many businesses, yet we decided to expand and open a new office in São Brás de Alportel in 2013. Working with a team of local professionals and having a well-positioned office at the town’s square are two factors that made this office a success from day one.

Another challenge was the loss of a business partner in 2015, a highly inspiring man and a great character, whom we all still miss to this day. Yet it made us grow, as the determination to deliver good service became even stronger from that moment on.

Together with the recovery of the economy and the growing demand for properties in the eastern Algarve, we opened our third office in the village of Moncarapacho in 2017. A lovely area with beautiful properties and easy access to surrounding areas such as Tavira, Cabanas de Tavira, Luz de Tavira and Santo Estevão.

One of our successes is the highly effective international marketing package that we have developed for owners. Our advanced marketing package and broad international network made it possible to be successful, even during the time of the pandemic in 2020.

Another success factor is our growth mindset. With Divine Home, we aim to deliver honest, reliable, transparent and personalised service and we do our best to exceed expectations. Our goal is to provide added value. One thing is assured; you can expect our very best, every day. With our passion for real estate, the Portuguese sun, great teamwork and happy clients, we really enjoy making your dream come true.

In 2021 a new chapter started as we added a rental and property management service to our business. With Portucasa, a well established brand of more than 20 years, we can now deliver a full service concept for anyone buying a home with the wish to do rentals.
