Vampirecats

As we gather around this Thanksgiving season, we want to take a meow-ment to express just how fur-tunate we are to have a team as claw-some as you. Throughout the month o e demonstrated purr-severance, teamwork, and dedication that truly make you the cat’s whiskers.
Your ability to tackle challenges with grace and agility—like a cat landing on its feet—has not gone unnoticed. You’ve been the cream of the crop, showing up every day with a paws-itive attitude and a commitment to excellence that keeps us all feline good.
This Thanksgiving, we’re especially thankful for the tailwagging camaraderie and whisker-twitching enthusiasm you bring to our team. We hope you take some well-deserved time to paws and reflect on the impact of your hard work, while also indulging in turkey treats and maybe a catnap or two!
Wishing you all a paws-itively wonderful Thanksgiving filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of fur-mily time,
Hii Division 33, it’s your News Editor, Annie Ngo, with the November edition of the Newsletter. This issue will be a feast for your eyes.
You will learn all about DCON, including the activities and how to fundraise. I was not able to attend last year, but I truly wish to make it this time around! It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without watching the Charlie Brown Special, so check out which officers and members we are especially thankful for this month.
I am beyond grateful to be part of Key Club. We are a topnotch service club and we strive to help others. We make an impact on communities every day with our service projects! Continue to be the spectacular Key Clubbers you are!
I am also grateful for my family, friends, and opportunities given at school.
What‘s your favorite Thanksgiving food? Mine would have to be mashed potatoes. I hope all Vampirecats had a relaxing Thanksgiving break!!
District Convention (DCON) is one of the annual events. All Key Clubs in the CNH District are invited to attend. DCON has so much in store with educational workshops hosted by Key Clubber presenters , recognition awards, a talent show, service projects expo, and the Governor’s ball. where everyone will light it up on the dance floor! Delegates will vote for the 2025-2026 District Executive Board and attendees will witness the transition. This year’s theme is “Tangled in Service. ”
Float on over to DCON at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, CA. The magical moments will last from April 25 - 27 .
On time registration (by March 14) costs $250. Late registration (by April 1) costs $305.
Several costs accompany the fun-filled weekend of DCON. Hotel costs, transportation, and Friday night’s meal need to be covered. Now, this is a lot of funds to pull. Key Clubs have a tower of options available to them for fundraising.
The Kiwanis Family always has our backs! Communicate with Kiwanis adult officials for fundraising and financial support.
Fundraisers can be held at DCMs and club officers can brainstorm ideas for home events. Bake sales are always a shoo in, but also try to aim higher! You may be surprised at the generosity of your school’s student body. Organize holiday grams, food stands at sports games, and donation jars.
As DCON chair, I have had the upmost honor to work with a wonderful committee of 11 LTG’s along with my mentor to ensure the best experience of all members of CNH by planning amazing activities, incredible workshops, and much more. Members can look forward to jampacked days with lots of information and spirit. You can look forward to meeting new Key Clubbers and bonding over the special Tangled themed activities this year. District Convention is not something you want to miss! For fundraising, I suggest you start NOW! It’s extremely important you raise the funds you need for your club so starting the earlier the better.
also happens to be one that happens every year. This year, we were set to help our fellow Kiwanis decorate the post office at Heritage Park. It was a fun job that allowed us to bring out out creative sides to bring beautiful sights for our community. We loved helping our Kiwanis out and we can’t wait to do it again next year!!!
was a rigorous event that WCPA Key Club upholds every year. This year, we partnered with the Red Cross Club in our school, and we had amazing results. We had a high number of donors, and from those donors, we had a high number of new donors. Along with this, we were able to have about 30 people volunteer their time throughout the day in a scheduled manner. We had people organizing the people donating, people checking them in, and people transporting from class to our designated spot. All in all, the whole event was a success and everything ran extremely smoothly!!!
On Nov. 24, Burroughs Key Clubbers volunteered at Salvation Army. We packed 40 bags with Thanksgiving food for Department of Defense (DOD) families. We worked like a well-oiled machine, filling the bags with stuffing, bread rolls, canned goods, and other items.
