UNICEF is a nonprofit that advocates for children’s lives and their rights, including schooling, nutrition, and mental health.

Trick or Treat and Start Strong : Zambia Project, CNH district-wide initiatives, are both partnerships with UNICEF.

The Thirst Project strives to provide safe, clean drinking water to people across the globe. They fundraise for water, sanitation, and hygiene resources.

The Children’s Miracle Network fundraises for kids’ healthcare, upgraded equipment, and research efforts. Miracle Treat Day proceeds go to this.

From decking the halls with your teamwork to jingling all the way through your tasks with purr-fection, you’ve made this month paws-itively magical. Your hard work and commitment have not only kept us on Santa Claws’ nice list but also made this holiday season extra bright for everyone.

This time of year is about gratitude and joy, and we’re fur-tunate to have a team as amazing as you. We hope you take some time to curl up by the fire, enjoy the purrs of contentment, and celebrate the paws-itive impact you’ve had this month.

holiday season. I just know the flurry of activities across the Key Clubs in our division will light up the lives for so many people. We definitely were the top elves, carrying out Santa’s orders by delivering service to our communities.

Christmas is my all-time favorite holiday alongside Lunar New Year. My mom decks out with decorations, especially our living room. I love hanging ornaments up. We have this snowman figure that plays music on a violin when it detects volume. We have food ornaments on a tree in our kitchen. Everything just feels extra magical!

On Dec. 14, Burroughs Key Clubbers took a sweet journey to the Ridgecrest Branch Library for their Life-Sized Candyland event. We laid out colored felt squares for the winding path, refilled the candy bowls at the stations, and restocked the prize bin with books and Play-Doh. We handed out playing cards and guided the children along

On Dec. 7, Burroughs Key Clubbers joined the Ridgecrest Kiwanis in front of Stater Bros to ring bells. Dressed up in Christmas sweaters, we called on the community to donate to Salvation Army’s cause. We handed out candy canes to kids. Key Club and Kiwanis raised a grand total of $540, which will all go toward Salvation Army’s holiday projects and drives. Treasurer Taylor Johnson and member Carmela Madrigal performed pieces of music on their violins to fill the plaza with the sound of Christmas carols.

What’s that, Vampirecats? A new club has entered our Division 33 litter! Stockdale Key Club officially received the charter from Kiwanis to become a part of Division 33 on Dec. 5 at their general meeting. Members have already been pouncing into service. Some of their clawsome service projects include a stand at a food sale day, volunteering at a local elementary school’s carnival, and assisting with the Korean Kso Chuesok Festival. Let’s see the blizzard of activities they’ve been up to this winter, leading up to Christmas.

Shopping Spree! Volunteers were paired up with a child helping them choose presents for themselves and their family. They got into the holiday spirit of giftgiving and put smiles on kids’ faces.
