June 11, 3 p.m. Through storybooks, children can live out their fantasies and allow their imaginations to come to life. Connecticut native Ron Roy serves as a guide on such journeys with his three series of children’s mystery books. He spent nearly a decade writing the books in his “A to Z Mysteries” series, then the “Capital Mysteries” and most recently, the “Calendar Mysteries”. Fans of all his popular book collections will have a rare opportunity to meet the author in person at a special ice cream social fundraiser to benefit the Playhouse on Park theatre in West Hartford. Playhouse on Park theatre, 244 Park Road in West Hartford. It will feature a question and answer session with Ron Roy, as well as an ice cream social sponsored by AC Petersen Farms. Those in attendance will receive one free ticket to Playhouse on Park’s production of “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”, June 18th. Parents will also receive a voucher for a buy 1 get 1 free ticket to any upcoming Playhouse on Park performance.
