Rugby School Thailand is a coeducational British international school for day and boarding pupils, taking children aged 2-18 years old. It is the first international outpost of the prestigious 453-year-old Rugby School UK. The school is set on an 80-acre campus in stunning Chonburi countryside, around 1.5 hours from Bangkok and 20 minutes from Pattaya. It has state-of-the-art facilities and plenty of space for children to enjoy healthy, active lifestyles. Rugby School Thailand follows the British private school model, with smaller classes and longer days that integrate sport and co-curricular activities (including everything from touch rugby, Chanbara and coding, to archery, sailing and bushcraft, to name a few). This dynamic approach to daily learning is an integral part of the Rugby School
ethos: ‘whole person, whole point’. It seeks to nurture the multi-faceted individual and enable pupils to thrive in all aspects of life. Academic excellence remains at the heart of the educational experience, but children develop a spectrum of skills and interests that not only enhance applications to top global universities, but last a lifetime. The excellent boarding opportunities draw Rugby School Thailand’s truly international crowd. From the many international ‘full boarders’ who travel home to neighbouring countries for long weekends and holidays, to ‘weekly boarders’ from Bangkok and other Thai provinces, younger ‘day boarders’ looking to try a couple of nights a week, or Sixth Form students keen to prepare for university life ahead. The school even offers complimentary boarding trials for existing pupils and prospective senior students.
SCHOLARSHIPS Scholarships for academic ability or talent in art, drama, music and sport are available for pupils entering Year 3 and above. In addition, our Prep School offers All Round Scholarships. All scholarship candidates are subject to academic entrance testing and will, in addition, have a practical assessment and/or extension paper and an interview(s).
