ReCoRD è un’occasione creata per mettere a confronto tempi e programmi diversi, oscillazioni recenti e meno recenti di questa disciplina attraverso sintesi di attività svolte ed in corso, appartenenti alla sfera della didattica come della ricerca, di Docenti di Restauro del Dipartimento di Architettura di Firenze (e ancor prima della Facoltà di Architettura di Firenze e dunque del Dipartimento di Restauro di quella Facoltà). La mostra e questo catalogo ripercorrono la genealogia dei nostri fondamenti formativi e quindi dell’operato di Piero Sanpaolesi per poi approdare ai più recenti esiti della didattica e delle ricerca della disciplina del Restauro architettonico a Firenze. Di seguito si succederanno 38 schede che racchiudono altrettante esperienze e progetti affrontati nel corso del tempo all’interno del Dipartimento di Restauro. Ogni progetto è presentato da un breve testo introduttivo, che ne indica le principali peculiarità, oltre che gli aspetti storici e geografici, e da un ampio corredo fotografico che fornisce un quadro generale per la lettura dell’opera in dettaglio. In molte ricerche sono inoltre presenti estratti delle tavole di rilievo geometrico, materico e delle patologie di degrado, oltre che indagini specialistiche eseguite in collaborazione con diversi Istituti.
ReCoRD was created to provide the opportunity to compare different times and programmes, and recent and less recent developments in this field, through the sum of past and present activities carried out both in teaching and research by Restoration Teachers of the Department of Architecture of Florence (as well as of the former Faculty of Architecture of Florence and therefore of the Department of Restoration of that Faculty). The exhibition and this catalogue retrace the genealogy of our formative foundations and therefore of Piero Sanpaolesi’s work, reaching the most recent results in teaching and research about the field of architectural restoration in Florence. Below are tables containing 38 experiences and projects conducted at the Department of Restoration. Each project is presented by a short introductory text, indicating the main features, as well as the historical and geographical aspects, accompanied by an extensive set of photographs that provides a general framework for understanding the work in detail. Many research projects contain extracts of the geometric and material relief tables and of the pathologies of degradation, as well as specialised investigations carried out in collaboration with various institutes.
