His rich and flexible baritone voice led him to tour extensively with the Glenn Miller Orchestra, performing throughout the US, Europe and Japan, sometimes playing in front of audiences of up to 40,000. The Clark Tracey Quintet Clark Tracey has worn many musical hats over his thirty-five year career. Having long been regarded as the UK’s most accomplished straight-ahead jazz drummer, alongside that considerable achievement he’s also a composer, arranger, educator and talent-spotter par excellence. All of these skills come together in another of his passions: band leading. Clark’s been fronting his own units since the early 1980s, in effect operating a finishing school for three generations of British jazz talent. Daryl Sherman & Band A sparkling mainstay of Manhattan nightlife, singer/pianist Daryl Sherman is equally at home in the world of jazz and cabaret. Internationally acclaimed for a stellar 14-year run at the WaldorfAstoria, she played Cole Porter’s Steinway and has headlined the annual Cole Porter Festival in his hometown - Peru, Indiana. £10 (Mbr/Stu £7)

* Vincent Herring/Eric Alexander Quintet * An All star International band, direct from Ronnie Scotts London. Vincent Herring, Alto Saxophone, Eric Alexander, Tenor Saxophone, Anthony Wonsey, Piano, Milan Nikolic, Bass, Joris Dudli, Drums. Vincent is a saxophone virtuoso with a uniquely intense and vigorous musical voice. He is considered one of the premier saxophonists of his generation. He toured Europe and the United States with Lionel Hampton’s big band in the early 1980’s and developed his musicianship working with Nat Adderley. Spanish jazz pianist Juan Galiardo makes a return visit to Wales with his quartet. Born in Seville, Juan graduated from Cadiz University and then the Berklee College of Music in Boston (2004). Accompanying Juan are all leading graduates of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama specialist Jazz Performance degree programme.Tom Ollendorff (guitar) is an acclaimed young jazz musician who has performed regularly all over Wales and the South West. £10 (Mbr/Stu £7)

Simon Spillett & Dave Cottle Trio Simon is one of the most exciting Jazz saxophonist in the UK today with his rip roaring Tubby Hayes style. Christian Garrick Quartet ‘Spirit O’Stephane Christian Garrick is a world class British jazz violinist who has performed with Wynton Marsalis and Nigel Kennedy. The fabled French fiddler Stephane Grappelli is remembered and celebrated by Britain’s leading exponent of jazz violin in a performance marking his incredible legacy of 79 years of music-making. This is a wonderful swinging show in the instrumental tradition of the Hot Club Of France and Django Reinhardt featuring favourites such as Sweet Georgia Brown, Strike Up the Band and Ain’t Misbehavin’ together with beautiful ballads Flamingo, Nuages and The Folks Who Live on the Hill. with Andy Crowdy - bass, Jez Cook - guitar and Tom Hooper - guitar £12 (Mbr/Stu £9)
