ROTARY CLUB OF MUMBAI JUHU -

Volume XXV No 12

JUNE 2025

President’s Message

Dear Fellow Rotarians and Families,

As the sun sets gently upon this remarkable Rotary year, my heart swells with gratitude and pride. It has been an extraordinary 12 months woven with the golden threads of fellowship, service, and shared purpose. Together, we have not merely passed time we have shaped it with meaning.

From the very outset, we embarked on this journey with hope in our hearts and service as our compass. Our fellowship blossomed not only in meetings and meals but in memories forged through togetherness in laughter shared, milestones celebrated, and compassion extended. We rekindled the joy of belonging, strengthening the ties that make our Club not just an institution, but a family.

In the spirit of Rotary, our community projects reached far and wide touching lives, healing wounds, and sowing seeds of opportunity. Whether it was education for the underserved, healthcare for the ailing, or dignity for the forgotten, the Rotary Club of Mumbai Juhu stood tall quietly but powerfully where the world needed us most.

Our role as organizers of two major District events for hosting Rotary International President Elect and President nominated, this year, stands as a proud testament to our organizational excellence and unshakable team spirit. From conceptualization to the final standing ovation, we exemplified what it means to lead with grace and execute with brilliance. The event bore not just our name, but our ethos: service above self, delivered with style and substance.

But none of this none would have been possible without you, dear members. Your unwavering dedication, generosity, time, and talent are the pillars on which every success rests. And to your families who lent their strength, spirit, and silent sacrifices please accept my deepest thanks.

Let us carry this light forward. Let us continue to serve, to lead, and above all, to care with courage, compassion, and camaraderie. Welcome, our President Elect Rtn . Ananthalakshmi to “Inspire” this Club in the upcoming new Rotary Year of 2025-26.

I end this time with some poetic thoughts, which can linger in our thoughts for a while…

O kindred souls of service true, Rotarians bold of Mumbai Juhu's hue, As twilight gilds this Rotary year, Permit these lines sincere, austere.

Twelve moons have danced on time’s vast sea, Since we began this reverie. With hearts aligned and spirits high, We strove beneath a purpose’s sky.

Our fellowship no fleeting breeze, But symphony of harmonies. In banquets bright and causes just, We forged a bond of sacred trust.

We ventured forth where silence wept, And promises once unmet slept. With healing hands and eyes that care, We sowed compassion everywhere.

A crowning jewel in this bright span, Two RI -District fete our Club began. With regal flair and Rotary pride, We led with poise, none could deride.

Now as I bid this role adieu, With soul fulfilled and conscience true, I pass the helm with love and cheer, To steer new dreams through coming year

Let us not dim this ardent flame Let service be our lasting name. In Rotary's eternal quest,

May Rotary Club of Mumbai Juhu ever shine the best.

With reverence deep and joy unfeigned With heartfelt gratitude and Rotary love,

President, Rotary Club of Mumbai Juhu 2024–2025, Vibrant Year

Message from the First lady Rtn.Shubhra Mazumdar

As we come to the close of this Vibrant Rotary year, my heart is full with gratitude, reflection, and deep appreciation for the journey we have all shared together.

This year, for me personally, has been one of both joy and quiet resilience. As many of you know, I have faced health challenges that at times kept me on the sidelines. But even during those quieter moments, I was never far from the warmth, energy, and spirit of this incredible club. Your messages, your prayers, your smiles even from a distance were a constant source of strength.

I’ve watched, with immense pride and admiration, how this year unfolded. The fellowship we’ve shared has been nothing short of inspiring. There were moments filled with laughter and light celebrations that brought us closer as a Rotary family. There were also moments of grief and loss, which reminded us of the power of standing together with compassion and care

Above all, I’ve witnessed the heartbeat of Rotary Club of Mumbai Juhu in action - our unwavering commitment to community service. From supporting the underprivileged to uplifting those in need, our club has made a real difference. And while I may not have always been present physically, my heart was with each project, each meeting, each selfless act.

To my dear husband Rtn Subhashish, who led with strength, humility, and vision, and to every member of the Rotary Club of Mumbai Juhu - thank you. Thank you for your friendship, your understanding, and for showing me, once again, that Rotary is not just about service - it’s about the enduring spirit of humanity. As we close this chapter and look to the future, I carry with me a profound sense of gratitude. May we continue to serve, to smile, and to stand by each other no matter what life brings.

Wishing our PE, Rtn Ananthalakshmi a very INSPIRing year ahead

With love and gratitude, Rtn Shubhra Mazumdar, First Lady Rotary Club of Mumbai Juhu 2024–25

The program is designed to gradually expand across several slums and chawls in and around Mumbai, with a target of positively impacting 500 women in the coming year.
