26th J A N U A R Y H A V A N
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
Greetings of a lovely wintery bloom in Mumbai!
As we have started the New Year 2025 , Let us all encourage each other to reflect on why we became a Rotarian? What motivates us to serve? What inspires us to make a difference? Let us recommit ourselves to our core values of Service Above Self, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity, and Leadership with Ethics and Dignity.
This year, let us focus on growing our Membership and welcoming new individuals who share our passion for service, fellowship and bonding . I encourage each of you to invite friends, colleagues, and family members to join us and experience the joy of Rotary.
Fellowship is at the heart of our Rotary experience. Let us make a conscious effort to connect with each other, to support each other, and to have fun together. Whether it's through our weekly meetings, social events, or community service projects, let us cherish the bonds of friendship that unite us.
"Every Rotarian, Every Year" (EREY). As we strive to make a difference in our community and around the world, let us remember the importance of supporting The Rotary Foundation (TRF). I encourage each member to make a contribution to TRF every year, no matter how small, to help fund our humanitarian projects , scholarships and many more projects under Rotary.
As Leaders in our community, let us strive to inspire and empower others. Let us develop our skills, share our expertise, and mentor those who are new to our club. Together, we can make a lasting impact and create positive change.

Fireside is a concept that originated in Rotary International, where members gather to share knowledge, experiences, and ideas in an informal setting. The term "Fireside" evokes the image of sitting around a warm fire, sharing stories and wisdom.
Fireside is closely linked with the concept of learning meetings, which are a key aspect of Rotary's approach to leadership development and member engagement. Learning meetings provide a platform for members to share knowledge, discuss best practices, and learn from each other's experiences. In today's fast-paced world, continuous learning and sharing knowledge are essential for personal and professional growth. Rotary Club of Mumbai Juhu recognizes the importance of lifelong learning and provides opportunities for members to share their expertise and experiences.
We did sit around the warmth of our friends and family as a part of Rotary Club of Mumbai Juhu on this Sunday , also our Republic Day-26th January at Rtn. Deepshikha’s house for this “ Fireside”
We are thankful and extremely grateful to Rtn Deepshikha, Our Club Learning Officer , for thoughtfully hosting the Fireside at her residence on Sunday. We were served with fresh hot lunch from the ovens…Thanks again Rtn Amarjit , almost single headedly managed the entire learning and information of Rotary International from International to District to the Club level..
Our two new members Rtn Mukul and Rtn Pawan were present. We are thankful for the RCMJ members – Guru , Amarjit, Daman, Ananthalaxmi, Sunil, Sumana, Ramesh, Yogeeta , Shubhra and yours truly..for attending and participating in this lovely informal set up of learning.

Event Details : The event "Frames Of Joy" was a heartwarming initiative in collaboration with edYouth Learning Foundation, aimed at providing an unforgettable experience to underprivileged children. On the day of the event, the children, many of whom had never visited a mall before, gathered at PVR Juhu. The excitement was palpable as they arrived at the venue, stepping into a world they had only heard of. After a brief orientation and welcome, the group proceeded to watch the movie Sky Force at the cinema. The children were thrilled to be in a real theater, experiencing the magic of the big screen for the first time. The joy on their faces as they watched the movie was priceless, making the entire event even more special.
To make the experience even more enjoyable, snacks were distributed to the children during the screening. Popcorn, drinks, and other treats were provided, ensuring that they felt like true moviegoers. The children relished every moment, creating memories that they will cherish for a long time.
For many, this was not just a movie outing, but a rare opportunity to step outside their usual environment and experience something new. It was a truly enriching day, filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of excitement that reminded everyone of the importance of creating such experiences for children from all backgrounds. The success of the event not only provided them with a fun day out but also brought smiles and hope for a brighter future.
