ROTARY CLUB OF MUMBAI JUHU -APRIL 2025

Volume XXV No 10

President’s Message

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

As we step into the month of April and complete our March activities, , I am reminded of the importance of reconciliation, teamwork, feedback, introspection, and service collaboration. This month, we had an unique opportunity to come together and make a meaningful impact for all and an Co Host event to bring difference in the lives of the visually disabled and other marginalized communities.

We believe in"Reconcile, Reflect, and Renew." Let us take this opportunity to reconcile our differences, reflect on our actions, and renew our commitment to serving humanity.

The Great District event DISCON on First week of March as “ Samanvaya” for two Districts together ensured lot of food for thought as we take the valuable works , spirit, ethics, culture, mission vision and the true ethos of Rotary International and Rotary Clubs! Thanks to members who participated .

We have an important Schedule of OCV ( Official Club Visit ) by DG and District Team and other events and activities planned for this month of April. We look forward for support and participation of our Club Directors and Members , we can surely keep the Club Going with a new Pace.

Let’s Focus in the remaining months on:

- Joint projects with other Clubs-

- Vocational training program for young adults

- Community outreach program to distribute food and clothing to marginalized communities

- Fellowship meetings and get-togethers

I encourage each and every one of you to participate actively in these events and to bring your friends and family along. Let us show our support and commitment to serving those in need and the basic fellowship and bonding of this Club.

Our Club recentlyhosted the PRE OCV(Officers' Official Visit), and it was a resounding success. We can only hope for more participation. Many of us , may be in some strenuous, tough and stressful times, but as they say, “ the Show must go on”

The visit, which took place on March 17, was attended by AG and some of our members, including Prospective Member, who were warmly welcomed and hosted. Our Directors and Members actively participated in the discussions, sharing their own experiences and ideas.

The visit also provided an opportunity for our club to showcase its community service projects, including the key project of Specially abled merging with the Heritage Forts of Mumbai. Our AG felt it was an impressive Project , showed our club's commitment to serving humanity and making a positive impact in our community. We are grateful to all the for taking the time to be there in PRE OCV. We look forward to continuing our good work and making a difference in the lives of those around us.

Let's keep up the good work and continue to make a positive impact in our community!

As we work together this month, I urge you to remember the importance of teamwork, feedback, and introspection. Let us work collaboratively, provide constructive feedback, and reflect on our actions to ensure that we are making a positive impact.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our Rotary Club. I look forward to seeing you all at our events and activities this month Together, let us make a difference!

Project- Supply of BP Machines at Ulhasnagar

Project Brief: Urban Primary Health Centers (UPHCs) play a crucial role in providing essential healthcare, particularly for pregnant women and patients with hypertension. Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation runs UPHCs in the area and had a requirement of 20 digital BP apparatuses (2 for each of the 10 UPHCs) to enhance their ability to identify and monitor high-risk pregnancies and hypertensive patients in the community through field camps and antenatal care clinics.

Cost of Project: Rs 10,000/-

Impact: Approx. 250 patients are tested at 20 centres with the equipment we will be donating per day, 7500 per month. Hence There are 300 working days in year and hence the project would directly impact 90,000 individuals in a year.

A great initiative and a superb project by our own very new member Rtn Mukul Jain handing over of the BP apparatus at Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, Chief Medical Officer and to the workers

An Appreciation Letter received from Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation
