David Adame Journal 7: Describe some of the themes or reoccurring ideas that are associated with your quest.
A few ideas that keep on coming up in my head are these ideas of making the video shorter and perhaps filming a scene of fiction. I have been thinking about filming one group of actors/ soccer players dressed in 70’s soccer attire and have them play a friendly game of soccer against another group dressed in 80’s soccer wear. Due to the amount of funding we have, I was able to purchase a few gadgets for the camera set and were a great addition to the entire set. This purchase also delayed filming a little, again, due to the funds. Thankfully, not too long ago, we did receive a small donation from an anonymous source and suggested that he can get a few people together to dress in the 70’s soccer wear. “People always love to be a part of something special…and you won’t even have to pay me”, said the anonymous source. Having insufficient funds for this project is very unfortunate, however it is not impossible to finish. In addition, this idea of shortening production has been reoccurring and not spending so much money on little things that can be replaceable. One way we ended up saving a lot of money was filming inside of a basketball gym. We set up small soccer goals and went thrift shopping for small soccer shorts that resembled those of the 70 and 80’s era. There were two main characters fighting it out and scoring goals on each other back and forth. The filming of that scene was a success.
