Penelope Poppers (Lighting Designer) is excited to be starting a seventh season at the AACCT! Penelope is a Little Rock native and is glad to call Little Rock and the AACCT home. Past favorite shows have been Hercules, Treasurer Island, and The Adventures of Frog & Toad. Special thanks to Jeremy, Nugget, and Ginger who always appear to be happy when she comes home. Miranda Young (Properties Master) started at the AAC Children’s Theatre as a child actor and is excited to return for her seventh season as properties master and designer. She studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and received a BFA in printmaking and painting. She also works as a Children’s instructor and Printmaking instructor for the Museum School at the Arkansas Arts Center. Miranda has also designed the sets for several Children’s Theater productions, including Miss Nelson Has a Field Day, The Giant and the Beanstalk, and If You Give a Pig a Pancake. Drew Posey (Technical Director) received a bachelor of arts degree from Arkansas State University in 2008 after spending a season as Technical Director at The Foundation of Arts in Jonesboro, Arkansas. From 2008 – 2012, Drew was the master carpenter at The Arkansas Repertory Theatre, where he honed his skills as a carpenter, painter, and sculptor. As an artist and an Arkansan, he is very excited to be a part of the Arkansas Arts Center. “Special thanks to my parents and my wife, Sheridan, who are brilliant theatre artists, and have supported all of my endeavors.” Mark Hansen (Company Member) has returned to the AACCT for another exciting season! Some of his favorite roles have been Frog in A Year with Frog and Toad, the Emperor in The Emperor’s New Clothes, Slim in Of Mice and Men, and Long John Silver in Treasure Island. In addition to acting, Mark helps with set construction. Mark graduated high school at Little Rock Central High and college from UALR. Mark would like to thank the Arkansas Rep for the training he received there as one of the first of two interns. Rivka Kuperman (Production Stage Manager) is pleased to be starting her first season at the Children’s Theatre. Rivka grew up in Little Rock and spent most of her childhood at the AACCT. She received her BA in theatre from the University of Central Arkansas in 2007. She is a company member of the local improv group ImprovLittleRock! and is a founding member of the Vagabond Theatre Company. She would like to thank her family and friends for their support and encouragement, especially Dad. Sarah Gasser (Stage Manager) is excited to be working at the Children’s Theatre! Previously, she has worked with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, A.R.T, Reagel Music Theater, Dorset Theater Festival, Hangar Theater, Kitchen Theater, the Oberlin Summer Theater Festival, and Boston’s Moonbox Productions. Sarah would like to thank her absolutely amazing parents for their support. Victoria Kann (Book and Lyrics) is the award winning illustrator and author of the picture book series featuring the whimsical and effervescent character, Pinkalicious. Victoria co-authored and illustrated the first two books, Pinkalicious and Purplicious, as well as the Pinkalicious the Musical. She wrote and illustrated Goldilicious and is working on several more books about the adventures and antics of Pinkalicious. Her awardwinning artwork has graced the covers and pages of many magazines, newspapers, and books. Victoria teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She lives with her husband, who is a toy designer otherwise known as Elf #1, and her two daughters, who each have a mouthful of sweet teeth. Elizabeth Kann (Book and Lyrics) is a doctor who has yet to see an actual case of Pinkititis. She co-authored the text of Pinkalicious and Purplicious with her sister, Victoria Kann. Her writing has appeared in a variety of newspaper and print publications. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, who is also a doctor, and their three children. John Gregor (Music and Lyrics) is a lyricist and composer who received a Frederick Loewe Reading for his musical With Glee, for which he wrote the book, music, and lyrics. Recently, With Glee was presented in a workshop by the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, and was produced Off-Broadway to sold-out houses. He is also composer and co-lyricist of Pinkalicious the Musical, based on the book by Elizabeth and Victoria Kann, now in its fifth year running Off-Broadway as well as a national tour. His musical adaptation of Gogol’s tragicomic short story The Overcoat has been presented in London at the Bridewell Theatre, Barrington Stage Company, and The New York International Fringe Festival. He has also co-written several children’s musicals for the Vital Theatre Company, including The Changeling and The Bully. John Gregor holds an MFA in musical theatre writing from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and a degree in musical theatre from Emerson College.

INTERNS AND APPRENTICES The Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre accepts a limited number of interns and apprentices to work with its production staff in an educational program designed to prepare them to enter the professional theatre field. Ben Fish (Production Intern) is very excited for his first professional season at the Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre. Born and raised in Little Rock, he recently graduated from Hendrix with a degree in Theatre Arts and will be interning over the course of the season in the areas of scene shop, acting, and stage management.
