NOTE

Happy April to all of our dear readers! Here in McIntosh, we have two celebrations this month, and I am looking forward to both. First, the celebration of Easter, a time honoring that the Lord has risen and the return of Spring is upon us. Then our treasured Blessing of the Fleet, a 55-year tradition that celebrates the hard work and dedication of our Fleet. April will be a time to be grateful, share in the traditions of our community, and come together in fellowship to bless our neighbors.
Your Chamber Team is doing its best to make the Blessing of the Fleet the best event it can be. We know there are many years of memories that surround this event, and we hope that you will see our commitment to honoring these and the creation of new memories. Vendors, Music, Food, and Community Events will fill that weekend, all leading up to the true celebration of the Blessing on Sunday.
There is a change to the street parade this year –lineup for the parade will begin next to Jets Pharmacy in the Bluestein’s Shopping Plaza. Please help us spread the word so everyone will be able to experience the fun! The parade is hosted by the Darien Lions Club, and we hope that everyone will come out to show their support.

My wish for you all this month is that each of you hold dear whatever lifts your spirits, brings you hope and fills you with the miracle of Easter. Many blessings to each of you!
