A Partnership By Design Two women-owned businesses, Eye on Design and JSB Designs, collaborate to offer a one-stop design experience in the Metro East

T

his year, Americans have done something they haven’t done in decades. They just stayed home.

True, it wasn’t necessarily by choice; the pandemic had a major hand in everything about life in the last year. But by staying home, things previously lost have been rediscovered.

“People have spent so much more time in their homes in the last year, they’re looking around and realizing that they want their rooms to be what they’ve always imagined they could be,” Geoppo said. “The most rewarding moment for me is watching a client experience the kitchen or bedroom they’ve been dreaming of for years.”

Relationships have been renewed with family; working remotely required some creativity; and many have relearned how to just “be.” It’s been therapeutic to remember that “home” can be the most beautiful place on earth to live, work and play if chosen to make it that way.

JSB Designs and Eye on Design partner on many projects, with the former creating the interior design plans for the space and implementing the design, while the latter fabricates and installs custom window treatments and soft furnishings such as cushions, pillows or bedding.

That’s why the collaboration between Eye on Design and JSB Designs, two women-owned businesses in Belleville, has been more important than ever to clients in the St. Louis Metro East Region.

“Together, we simplify the design and procurement process for our clients, whether they are interested in redesigning one room, refreshing a floor or building a new home,” Brown said. “Together we have more than 40 years of experience excluding the experience of our employees and the craftsmen we work with. But we also believe in learning from our clients. We want every project to fit their needs, style and vision.”

Eye on Design, located at 309 East Main Street in Belleville, is not just a Hunter Douglas Gallery. Owned by Jennaver Brown, Eye on Design has been helping clients transform their homes and businesses with affordable custom drapery, blinds, shutters and soft furnishings since 2005.

If you’re looking to refresh, remodel or redesign your home this spring, contact Eye on Design and/or JSB Designs.

JSB Designs, an interior design firm owned by Jill Geoppo, recently relocated to the same location at 309 East Main Street. JSB Designs works with commercial and residential clients, custom designing each project to meet the needs and style of her client.
