U of A Clint Stoerner and UnitedHealthcare upgrade North Little Rock Academy Vegetable Garden Former University of Arkansas and NFL quarterback Clint Stoerner and UnitedHealthcare teamed up in early June to renovate the vegetable garden at North Little Rock Academy in North Little Rock. UnitedHealthcare’s $10,000 grant to Stoerner’s Dreambuilders program will enable the school to double the size of the school’s current vegetable garden, build a storage shed and privacy fence, purchase a tiller and enhance the courtyard landscaping. North Little Rock Academy students will plant cabbage, collard greens, strawberries, corn, peas, potatoes and herbs. In a typical growing season, the garden produces 1,500 to 2,000 pounds of produce. All the harvested produce is given to students and staff, as well as neighbors who help watch over the greenhouse.
