Arkansas Counties receive safety awards The Association of Arkansas Counties awarded its annual safety awards during the AAC’s 50th annual conference, held Aug. 8-10, 2018, in Rogers, Ark . Counties that met three main safety requirements received the annual awards. Counties that
were honored scored at least 80 percent on the AAC’s safety survey, had a loss ratio of less than 50 percent and had not been in the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission Rule 32 Hazard Program currently or within the past two years.
Counties receiving 2018 AAC safety awards were: Arkansas, Baxter, Boone, Bradley, Clark, Clay, Columbia, Conway, Faulkner, Greene, Howard, Izard, Johnson, Lafayette, Miller, Mississippi, Nevada, Perry, Poinsett, Polk, Pope, Prairie, Pulaski, Saline, Sebastian, Sevier, Sharp, Stone, Union, Van Buren, Washington, and White counties. In addition, two counties received a certificate for no Workers’ Compensation claims in 2017: Calhoun and Monroe counties.
About the Association of Arkansas Counties The AAC supports and promotes the idea that all elected officials must have the opportunity to act together in order to solve mutual problems as a unified group. To further this goal, the AAC is committed to providing a single source of cooperative support and information for all counties and county and district officials. The overall purpose of the association is to work for the improvement of county government in the state of Arkansas.
The association accomplishes this purpose by providing legislative representation, on-site assistance, general research, training, various publications and conferences to assist county officials in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of their office. New findings from the National Association of Realtors® show that a high number of Americans, 75 percent, believe that now is a good time to sell a house, while 68 percent think it is a good time to buy. That’s according to NAR’s second quarter Housing Opportunities and Market Experience (HOME) sur-

CODE OF ETHICS TRAINING ALL REALTORS® are mandated by the National Association of REALTOARS® to take Code of Ethics training every two years in order to remain in good standing and maintain membership. The current “cycle” or period will end Dec. 31, 2018. If you are no certain as to whether or not you need COE training, I will be sending your broker a list of those remaining to take the course. You can also call the association office. The course CAN BE TAKEN ONLINE for FREE at www.realtor.org/codeofethics New members who have not attended a new member orientation class yet are required to take the course before doing so. Renewing members can also take the course FREE online. You can also complete this requirement by taking a CE class that has this requirement in its course outline and email your certificate of completion to the SCARA office.
