EXPLORING THE MAN AND THE LEGACY

Writer, lawyer, teacher – even Civil War General – Albert Pike wasted little time during his days on Earth. Originally from Massachusetts, follow his journey to Arkansas on page 12. His legacy is still present today, from the namesake of the first highway between Hot Springs and Colorado Springs to the Memorial Temple, pictured above, which remains on Little Rock’s Scott Street.
