Editor's Note
I'm thrilled to serve this division as the News Editor! This is the first of many newsletters that I'll be designing throughout the 2022-2023 term, and I hope to improve as much as I can along the way. With it being summer time and most of everyone out of school, I hope you’re all taking the time to enjoy yourselves, but to also work proactively to prepare for the year ahead of us. Make sure to drink plenty of water especially in this weather, and to take care of yourselves!
Summertime is a great time for everyone to plan out ahead of time for the school year. Make sure you’re all providing as well as contributing to your respective clubs! And as always, don’t be afraid to reach out to me for any help or questions! with

For the June DCM , the division held a meeting at the park for a rainbow picnic and a service project . Volunteers colored many drawing pages so they could be sent to Color A Smile. This is an organization that sends colorful drawings to many people, including senior citizens, and troops overseas. This event also included a rainbow picnic, where we brought snacks of a variety of colors so they could be enjoyed throughout the meeting. This eventgave everyone a chance to connect and have fun while working together to complete as many coloring pages so they can be mailed out to those who may need a smile.

For the month of June, we held our DCM at a park and held a rainbow picnic and a service project alongside. The rainbow picnic was to celebrate pride month, and the picnic itself was enjoyable For our service project, we got to color drawings and send them out to senior citizens, troops overseas, or anyone who is in need of a smile through color a smile. It was fun as we got to color and chat about how our summer is going so far or any plans for the upcoming year/term

The June DCM started on a sunny morning on one of the stone benches at Sunset Ridge Park Thanks to one of the members, we were able to sit in the shade while everyone worked on a service project. The members brought different colored snacks to share at the rainbow picnic Using markers and crayons, we colored pages from Color A Smile, a nonprofit organization that sends drawings to senior citizens and many others to give them a smile. It was pleasant making small talk with the other members who attended
