Alexa Buhay | O’FARRELL During the month of October, we were able to have our first in-person community project after the pandemic hit. The event took place during a triathlon where members (students, participants, etc.) were able to take shifts in helping set up. The triathlon was located at Bonita Cove Park. Key Club members served for at least 4 hours, and can earn up to 6 hours doing tiring work. They supplied athletes with water and snacks in order to encourage them to keep going. Overall, it was a new and interesting experience, since it was our first in-person service event consisting of helping others by supplying them with essential needs.

Noor Zaiden | SDSCPA The Walk of Alzheimer’s event was a walk for people and loved ones that have Alzheimer’s. I was there to cheer the walkers on so they wouldn’t feel like they were walking alone. I felt really happy when I cheered people on. We also handed out water to the people who participated in the walk. This event really captured the idea that I like cheering people on things they thrive to do.
