Hello Blue Turtles ! I know it’s been a long couple of months in quarantine, but I’m so proud of you all for being able to overcome these challenges and for being committed to your community through Key Club ! Your dedication to community service really beams brights, especially right now. I’m so thankful to be serving such an amazing club ! And I hope I will get the opportunity to meet you all soon ! However, as of right now, I hope you all relax and have an amazing summer, you deserve it !

LTG’s Message
Hello Blue Turtles! Thank you all for an amazing month! Despite the obstacles we have faced and currently still face, we have had an amazing start to our term! I am truly honored to serve the best division ever. Your dedication and passion to help others truly embody what it means to be a Key Clubber! In these times, we must all remember to love each other and treat everyone with kindness. Caring is our way of life, and that applies to every single person. Please RSVP to our very first joint event (June DCM) with Division 10 North! I look forward to seeing each and every one of you there! Lastly, remember to treat people with kindness. In the month of May, D10S held the May DCM in which members joined a large zoom call to simultaneously study for the upcoming AP exams. With the presence of others, members were able to combat their procrastination and started their quest to a great test score. Freshmen, and others who did not have tests to study for simply did their other homework. Virtual DCMs call for alternative activities, and through study session, members became productive and some even shared resources to help each other succeed ! However, this wasn’t the only digital event D10S held‌ (turn page).

Virtual Gabrielino Banquet On May 30th, Gabrielino Key Club hosted its annual banquet. For the past month, Gabrielino Key Club has been working tirelessly to plan out the event. It is tradition for Gab Key to host an end of the year banquet but due to the pandemic, this year’s banquet came with a twist. It was online! The banquet was moved to the app, Zoom, to accommodate for the current situation. The event consisted of various engaging mini games and a small awards ceremony to honor dedicated members. For the rest of the banquet, members battled one another in a game of skribbl.io and tested their knowledge of Key club with a challenging Kahoot. Each game, participants had a chance to earn a ten dollar Amazon gift card. Each game, participants had a chance to earn a ten dollar Amazon gift card. After a stressful month for many members taking the AP exams, the banquet provided a much needed, safe space for recreation.
Region Pen Pals
Events In June, Region 13 pen pals were assigned. Region pen pals strive to increase social interaction between region members from different schools and different divisions. Not to mention, but we also got the most region pen pal sign ups ! We can’t wait to see you and your pen pal bond at future (hopefully in person) DCM’s !
