FALL RALLY IS OVER!!! :O I’m so so proud of all of you for what we have been able to accomplish together! (We made it to the finals!!!) Although Fall Rally is over, just know that we are NOT DONE YET! We have a bunch of fun events planned so stay tuned!

OnOctober27th,GabrielinoHighSchoolKeyClub membersvolunteeredtohelpoutAlhambraPumpkin Run.Theclubwokeupextremelyearlytohelpaand organizeshirtsbytheirsizes,handedoutassigned shirtstomarathonrunners,andpassingoutred pompoms.Aftertherunwasover,membershelped byrepackingandmovingsupplies,foldinguptents andtables,andcheeringonthefinalrunners. Contributingtothiseventwasanawesome experiencetoGabrielinoKeyClubbers!

WASHINGTON MOVIE NIGHT

KeyClubberswenttoWashingtonElementarySchool tohelpsellfoodstopeoplewatchingthemove.The KeyClubbersgottoWashingtonaround6:30pmto startsellingfoodandmemberships.Around30minutes intothestarttime,moreandmorepeoplestartedto showupwhichalsomeantthatmorepeoplewere goingtobuyfood.Soonitwas8:30pm,allthepeople leftandKeyClubbersstayedbehindtohelpcleanup whatwasleftaroundtheschool.TheKeyClubbers cleanedsuperquickand wenthomeafterasuccessful day!

AsMarkKeppelentersanotherbusymonthofthe schoolyear,theMarkKeppelKeyClubhasbeen offeringmultiplehouropportunitiesformembersto participatein.TheseincludedCharityMiles,Literai, cardsforOperationGratitude,theAlhambraPumpkin Run,andmanymore!Additionally,memberswhoare interestedinFallRallyhavebeenworkingonfulfilling theirrequirements,fromparticipatinginfundraiser’s toattendingspiritsessions.MarkKeppelKeyClub looksforwardtowhatthemonthofNovemberhasto offer!

DuringthemonthofOctober,RosemeadKeyClubheld asnackbagweekfundraiser.Inneedofhelptopack thesnackbags,ourRosemeadKeyClubberswereable tohelppacksnakcbags.ThiseventwasonOctober 3rdfrom3:30pmto4:30pm.Volunteerscouldearna totalofoneservicehourandonepoint.Atthisevent, thevolunteershelpedpackthesnackbagitemstoell. Theserviceeventwasagreatopporunityfor RosemeadKeyClubberstocompletetheirFallRally Southrequirements,aswellastohelpservicethe schoolcommunity!

HAUNTED HOUSE

Octoberisaspookymonthfullofscarysuprises...and lotsofvolunteerevents!TheannualHantedHouseEvent, hostedbytheRosemeadRecreationCenterisalways eagerlyanticipatedbyRosemead’sKeyClubbers.This serviceeventwasfromthe25th-27th.Itwasfrom5:00 pmto8:00pm.Volunteerscouldearnatotalofthree servicehoursandthreepoints.Atthisevent,volunteers actasscarersandhelpcleanupafterward.When assignedtoaroom,theyputontheircostumesofchoice andwaiteduntiltheyweregiventhe“OK”tobegin acting.Attheendofthenight,volunteershelpedtidy thingsup.Thisdaywasadayfullofexcitingservice.

Octoberisamonthfullofexcitement,scare,andmost importantlyofall...CANDY!Withtheannualtraditionof trickingortreating,theRosemeadRecreationCenter hoststheannualTrunkorTreatforthecommunity.Key Clubbersdecidedtovolunteeratthiseventtoensure thatthingsgosmoothlyandwell.Inthebeginningofthe shift,volunteershelpsetupthearea.SomeKeyClubbers helpedsetuptheballoonarch,whileothershelped placedtrashcans.Oncethesetupwasfinished, voljunteerswereassignedtohelpkeepthelinesgoby smoothly,andensurethattheeventranefficiently. This wasaveryeventfulnightforRosemeadKeyClubbers.

ForthemonthofOctober,WilsonKeyClubbers participatedintheAlhambraPumpkinRunonOctober 275h.Memberswerealldressedupinblacktobe coordinatedandmetonSouth1stStreetinAlhambrato helpsetupearlyinthemorningat4:45am.Atthisevent, clubmembershelpeddistributefoodandgoodiebagsto runners.Notonlythatbutvolunteershelpedsetupfor theeventandcleaneduponcetheeventwasover.
