ALHAMBRA ALHAMBRA

For the month of January, Alhambra Key Club was able to provide various service opportunities for our members. Our club was reached out by the City of Alhambra for a new monthly event that they are holding in our city. We were able to help them set up and clean up the event, and we plan to work with them every month. Another service we participated in was the fire donation service. Because of the recent fires that took place in LA, Alhambra Key Club helped a donation center organize donated clothes to be distributed. Overall for the month of the January, we were able to offer our members as many service opportunities as possible.

Key Clubbers got to Wilson Elementary at 5 p.m and started getting thier stations ready. The kids were already there so the key clubbers had to set up quickly! There were multiple stations like origami station, arts n crafts station, and a face painting station. If Key Clubbers were not assigned at a station, they were outside keeping watch making sure no kids were leaving withouts adults or just being somewhere they were not allowed to be. At around 6:30 - 7, key clubbers started switching stations/ spots. Soon it was the end of the dance and the students went home. Key clubbers worked efficiently to clean up Wilson as fast as possible. They ended the day with pizza provided by the Wilson PTA>

For the month of January, members have been oozing thier way back in for the new semester. We had our monthly general meeting on January 31, where we announced a. few of our hour opportunities. Those includes Rice Run, Amigos de los Rios, Garden School Foundation, Ace of Hearts, and more! Additionally, during the general meeting, seniors were given a heads up to complete the hour requirements as soon as possible, should they wish to earn lifetime status. The fundraising team is also planning a few fundraisers for the months ahead in order for members to have more opportunities to earn their function points. A couple of those fundraisers include Chanos and Twinkle Brown Sugar boba after school. We look forward to what the month of February has in store for us!

ROSEMEAD ROSEMEAD

January is the start of the new beginnings and...NEW SERVICES!! On January 25th, our key clubbers helped volunteer at Pasadena Symphony. The Pasadena Symphony is a professional orchestra based in Pasadena. The symphony presents at a variety of concerts throughout the year featuring guests, artists, and conductors. This event consisted of one shift from 6:15 PM to 10:30 PM. Volunteers could earn a total of 4.24 service hours and 4.25 key club points. At this event, volunteers helped with set up, clean up, and ushing guests. For set up, there were tasks like straightening the seats, tables, and making sure everything was in order. At the beginning of the concert as well as throughout the concert, our volunteers helped usher guests to their correct seats and made sure they were comfortable. At the end of the day, volunteers ensured that the area was kept clean.

SAN GABRIEL SAN GABRIEL

As we enter the start of a new year, San Gabriel Key harmonizes once again. To begin, the first general meeting of the year was held on January 9th afterschool at the auditorium. Another one was then taking place on January 23rd at the same location. Key clubbers were able to gain 0.3 function points per meeting, landing a scorching 0.6 fp attending both!

Virtual services were also released on January 14 (Flora Green Focus and Tree Card) that were due January 31st. The January DCM was held @ Almansor part on the 25thj where blue turtles had fun with clay, slime, and more!
