GABRIELINO GABRIELINO

Gabrielino Keyclubbers got to Roosevelt Elementary School to help out with their speech tournament. Each Keyclubber was assigned a different topic to study up on. Each Keyclubber was a judge to 6 different kids. After hearing all 6 kids' speeches, they were to rank each kid from best speech to least best speech. They also gave each student feedback on what they did well on and what they needed to improve on. Taking a break in between rounds to eat their pizza provided by Roosevelt staff! After lunch, Key clubbers returned back to helping judge other speeches! By 3:30, all the Roosevelt students had said all their speeches and received feedback. Thank you to all the Key clubbers that were able to go and help out that day!

MARK KEPPEL MARK KEPPEL

During the month of February, Mark Keppel Key Club stayed active through different volunteering opportunities, service projects, and fundraising efforts. Our members were able to attend this years Conclave, where we participated in the election of our next Lieutenant Governor and got the opportunity to connect with other clubs in the division with some fun jokes and karaoke. Later in the month, we gathered at the February DCM where we got to make amazing turtles with eco-friendly materials. Some of this month events was the FAVE February Dog Adoption Event where Volunteers assisted Ace of Hearts, a rescue foundation that helps dogs find new homes. Community Garden Day at 99th St Elementary and Amigos de los Rios volunteers worked to improve the school’s garden and the environment for students by weeding, refreshing mulch, building raised beds, and planting trees. We also got to participate in the Mobile Food Pantry Distribution where volunteers assisted in distributing food kits to local South Gate families. As we move into March, Mark Keppel Key Club remains promoting new services and opportunities, and it is working hard to choose our next upper board members.

WILSON WILSON

During the month of February Wilson Key Club Members participated in the LTG Baby Shower on the Sunday, 23rd of February at Almansor Park. Key Club Members used google forms to RSVP for the event and 5 Wilson Key Club Members attended from 2pm to 4pm. At the event, Key Club Members helped create turtles to promote club spirit using pinecones, stones, crayons, flowers, pine nettles, and creativity.

Additionally, Key Club members would be assigned a word by Sean Patrick Lee and would individually think of a song that had the word in it. At the event, members also participated in a soul-mate event in which a duo would attempt to match each other’s answers to be successful. Lastly, at 4pm, Wilson Key Club Members posed in a picture with the Division Leadership Team, LTG Oralee Tran and LTG Elect Sean Patrick Lee.

Throughout the month of February Wilson Key Club Members have been preparing for executive cabinet and cabinet elections. Emily Huang messaged the Wilson Key Club Members through Remind on throughout the month of February. Through Remind, Wilson Key Club Members would receive a google form to sign up to run and position qualifications for the respective positions. Contact information to Emily Huang would also be provided in case there wereany comments or concerns brought up about the club cabinet election.
