A Special Message from your Lieutenant Governor Hello Division 6 South Polar Bears! Welcome to our very first issue of our division newsletter! If you haven't had the opportunity to meet me yet, here is a quick synopsis on who I am; my name is Wanisa Jaikwang and I will be serving all of you lovely Polar Bears as your Lieutenant Governor during the 2013 - 2014 term! I have been an active and proud member of the Paloma Valley Key Club for three years, and these past three years have been some of the most valuable in my life. In those years, I have developed a passion for service, and I hope to inspire all of the members in the division I serve to discover their passion for service this year. First thing's first - let's take a moment to thank our Division News Editor, Julia Choi, for putting together this BEEautiful first edition! As well as, another big thank you to YOU, the members, for taking the time to just flip through these pages, and contributing to any the visuals or events mentioned in this newsletter! Now to move on to another topic; our goals and ideas for the year! As your Lt. Governor I plan to incorporate these goals/ideas into our division: 1) Raise $800 for PTP by Fall Rally 2) Have at least a 30% attendance and participation increase at division events and 3) Build up the communication and bonds with everyone in the division, and our Kiwanis family. Don't be too intimidated by some of these goals, because I know as a division we have the ability and passion for Key Club to work together to accomplish these goals! Even though we are one of the smaller divisions in our CNH District, we have proven that when we come together as a division - no, an ohana - we shine just as bright as any other division and can soar to the greatest of great heights! I am honored to serve you all as your Lt. Governor for this year, and I hope to grow with you, and the division, as we leave our legacy - and maybe a few paw prints - on 6 South! Leadership T e a m Hello! I’m Jessica Xayarath, currently a junior at Paloma Valley High. I am the vice president at my Key Club and also inter-club coordinator for division 6 south. Communication is key, it’s important for us to keep in touch and cooperate throughout the division, to lead to a successful division, that is why we have inter-club coordinators. As inter-club coordinator it is our job to inform others within our division, on upcoming events, activities, e.t.c. Just think of us as the "messenger birds" for the division. What I'm looking forward to, for this upcoming term is a stronger and bigger division with many accomplished goals and new experiences. I am definitely looking forward to this year and I cannot wait to experience all that key club has to offer.
Hello Division 6 south Polar Bears! My name is Bridgette Le and I am a senior at Paloma Valley High School. I am your inter-club coordinator for this 2013-2014 term which means I get to plan fun events and speak to you lovely key clubbers! I am looking forward to getting closer to my Key Club Ohana and helping everyone have another fun and successful year of service! Hello my fellow Polar Bears! My name is Andrew Tran and I am going to be a Senior at Chaparral High School. I have been involved in Key Club since my freshman year and I have been an officer since last year. I am one of the two Fall Rally Spirit Coordinators for our division this year. What I do is work with Patty, the other Fall Rally Spirit Coordinator, to make up cheers for the Fall Rally. Together, we also work on planning events and fundraisers for PTP, Pediatric Trauma Prevention, as well as organizing the division swag, such as t-shirts, tank tops, etc. At Fall Rally, we will be leading the division in our cheers so that we can hopefully win the coveted spirit stick! I am excited to go to Fall Rally with you all and see all of the spirit that we D06S Polar Bears are capable of! I look forward to a golden year serving you, Polar Bears!

Donelle Ann Alcantara here! Yes, I have two first names. You might see me around clicking and snapping away at you with a camera, and I am here to say don't fret pet because I am proud to say I am the division 6 south historian alongside with Fred Cosico. I'll be capturing the moments this upcoming Key Club year. You guys all know the cheer. And now that you've all heard my deal, tell me Key Clubbers, how do you feel? Hey there Polar Bears! I’m Julia Choi, your Division News Tech Editor. This year, I’m going to be the technology geek. I’m in charge of creating monthly newsletters, maintaining the division website, and creating posters for any events within the division. Basically, anything with technology, I’m involved with it. I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of my fellow Polar Bears and being involved with all of the upcoming events. Prepare for an awesomely GOLDEN year, Polar Bears! PS: I promise these newsletters will get better! It’s a work in progress.
