October can be one of the busiest months in a student’s life. There are tests to study for, and Halloween plans to make, or if you're a senior it meant scrambling to finish college applications before the deadline. Yet despite our busy schedules, key clubbers managed to help others out through trick or treat for UNICEF. All October, students collect donations (as little as spare change) that all proceed to UNICEF. In a time span of simply one week, trick or treat boxes left in teachers’ classrooms collected over $100. A service event took place on Halloween and November 1st, where Key Clubbers went around the Heritage Lakes neighborhood and trick or treated for donations. We managed to surpass our goal of $350 in the end. Sometimes change doesn't require a lot of time or money, just some spare change.

Right after Fall Rally, our club helped out at a local Thomas the train event in Perris. Guests explored the Perris train station which was Thomas themed and since it was the last weekend the event was there, the station was packed. We were stationed at a temporary tattos booth as well as a playground area. Our members helped the event run smoothly and saw many happy families having fun! Written by: Kady Lam | Rancho Verde

This month was a very busy month considering that the Fall Rally is right around the corner. To start off, we had short meetings every Thursday, which included the new officers so they got to know the gist of how everything works. After, we had a fall rally prep to prepare those who are going and a can food drive for the Temecula Food Pantry in spirit of Thanksgiving. We received more than 100 cans, thanks to our wonderful community and Key Club members who participated by donating or volunteering in the can food drive. Lastly, we had our ongoing community service event for UNICEF where we trick or treat for money using a box provided to us by UNICEF. Many students took the box home to gather money and is still a process. Written by: Sunny Lim | Chaparral
