Since its establishment in 2013, the Czech Film Fund’s annual budget for selective
support has increased from 6 million to 14.5 million euro, and the funds for production incentives have risen by nearly 20 million euro to the current 31.4 million euro per year.
Developing international relationships with foreign filmmakers has always
been a crucial endeavor for Czech film industry. In 2017 Czech Film Center and the Czech Film Commission were integrated into the Film Fund. Now, Fund is a comprehensive institution with stable financing that also promotes the Czech film industry internationally, creating a nurturing environment for cinematic production in the Czech Republic.
