Challenge February 2014

The 2014 CVR DE season is just around the corner but­first,­we­have to­ get­ through­ this­ cold­ winter.­ For those­of­you­who­like­to­“play”,­snow offers­ a­ real­ great­ opportunity­ to­ go out,­find­a­big­empty­parking­lot­and have­ fun.­ Shut­ off­ those­ electronic gadgets­ or­ better­ yet,­ drive­ an­ older pickup­truck.­Both­options­are­a­great way­ to­ learn­ car­ control­ – plenty­ of oversteer­ and­ understeer­ –­ and­ both are­lots­of­fun.­ If­you­need­a­track­fix,­get­out­and do­some­karting.­Our­2013­DE­Winter Workshop­ was­ followed­ by­ karting and­ everyone­ had­ a­ great­ time.­ So many­people­asked­me­if­we­could­do it­again­that­I­thought­doing­it­in­2014 would­be­a­popular­decision.­Our­2014

DE­ Winter­ Workshop­ is­ tentatively scheduled­ for­ Saturday,­ March­ 15th.

Once­the­date­is­official­(contracts­are signed),­ the­ event­ will­ be­ posted­ on ClubRegistration.net and­ on­ the CVR­website.­This­year’s­format­will be­very­similar­to­last­year’s­format.

The­ Workshop­ will­ be­ informative, educational­ and­ fun.­ Our­ speaker/ classroom­ session­ will­ emphasize car/driver/passenger­ safety­ on­ track.

In­addition­to­the­classroom­sessions, we­ will­ have­ coffee­ and­ snacks­ in­ the­ morning­ and­ a­ light­ lunch­ (all­ covered­by­the­registration­fee)­during the­ CVR­ designated­ part­ of­ the­ day.­ The­ classroom­ venue­ will­ be­ held­at­the­On­Track­Karting­conference­facility­in­Brookfield­CT.­When
