What is CPC? What is CPC?

CPC, or the Collegiate Panhellenic Council, is the unifying body of the eight National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) chapters and one Associate chapter on Georgia Tech's campus; we are one of the four Greek letter councils here at Georgia Tech. CPC is made up of the following eight NPC chapters and one associate chapter:

Our CPC community understands that academics should be a student’s main focus; therefore, numerous resources are offered to enhance a new member’s academic experience. Academic support goes hand-in-hand with career opportunities and connections. Whether it be pursuing an internship opportunity abroad or considering a new major on campus, CPC members are supported throughout their academic experience
The CPC community is filled with members from all different areas of campus, allowing our members to be introduced to countless organizations on campus that are able to compliment their academic experience Our members are encouraged to follow their unique passions to find organizations that help them to pursue their interests and grow as individuals and future professionals
CPC at Georgia Tech allows for members to be surrounded by empowering individuals of all different majors and ages One of the recurring themes spoken about throughout recruitment is sisterhood It is a life-changing bond formed between individuals within our community and within each chapter. Our community prides itself on having chapters that support the activities of one another.
our values WHO WE ARE: WHO WE ARE: academics invovlment sisterhood philanthropy

Being involved in CPC provides a valuable opportunity to make an impact within our surrounding Atlanta community Each chapter supports a specific philanthropic organization and is passionate about raising funds and increasing awareness through community-wide philanthropy events and chapter activities. Additionally, the CPC community supports Circle of Sisterhood, a national philanthropy that provides support for women ’ s education across the globe.
Individuals within our community enjoy the opportunity to take part in social events planned by their individual chapters Social events make sure our members are able to take a break from the rigor of school and make memories with their sisters These events are also the perfect way to meet new people while having a special occasion to explore all that Atlanta has to offer
Circle of Sisterhood
The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation is a mechanism by which all sorority members can stand together across affiliation, age, color, and creed to make a difference in the lives of millions of girls and women around the world As CPC’s official philanthropy since 2016, Circle of Sisterhood at Georgia Tech strives to make education a reality for women everywhere through educational awareness and financial support
As students at Georgia Tech, we are privileged enough to pursue a world-class degree surrounded by other brilliant and talented individuals However, the rest of the world is not as lucky Two thirds of all illiterate adults in the world are female, and not even seven percent of the world’s population (both men and women) has a college degree Research has shown that the more educated a young girl is, the more she invests in herself, her family, and her community We have partnered with The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation to remove the current barriers to education for these young girls to help them impact their communities, their countries, and the world
Our Philanthropy Our Philanthropy our story our mission our impact
Since 2010, The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation has been able to support organizations working to remove barriers to education in 28 countries on 4 continents, including funding the construction of 42 school builds in remote villages in Guatemala, Haiti, Malawi, Mali, Nepal, Nicaragua, and Senegal It has also funded 118 grants to other nonprofits whose mission aligns with that of Circle of Sisterhood The Panhellenic community at Georgia Tech has worked to personally fund two school builds thus far In March 2018, we funded a school build in Sass-Mack, Senegal, sending 18 sorority members to work alongside the local community Recently in 2022, we funded a school build in Cantón La Soledad, Guatemala which broke ground in March 2023 and is projected to be complete by the end of August 2023 Our community has also funded grants including a grant in 2020 to the MoonCatcher Project, an organization that helps keep girls in school while they are experiencing their period Our grant has provided 3,200 kits for women in Malawi, 2,000 kits for women in Kenya, and 1,500 kits for women in Uganda.

four C's
In general, when picking your recruitment outfits try to stick to the 4 C’s: cute, casual, comfortable, and confident. As the rounds progress, your outfits will get slightly nicer, although as a whole Georgia Tech’s recruitment process is more casual than many other schools’ Recruitment is long each day, so being comfortable in what you wear is the most important Lastly, everyone ’ s personal style is different, and chapters want to see what makes you unique! If you feel stylish and confident in what you are wearing, then it will show in your conversations with members Wear what you are most comfortable in!
Also, there is no specific guidance when it comes to makeup and accessories as we understand that people wear makeup and accessories in a wide range; think to yourself how you would prepare your makeup, hair and accessories for the example locations and events given below for each round If you wear makeup everyday, then wear your everyday makeup on Round 1! If you never wear makeup, then don’t put any on for Preference Round!

what to wear
Round 3 is nice and cute attire, one step nicer than Round 2 attire. Wear clothes that you would wear to a nice meal with your family, or a family member’s graduation ceremony. Skirts, dresses, rompers, jumpsuits, or nice pants and shirt are recommended. Sandals, flats, platforms, wedges, or other nicer shoes with or without a heel are appropriate for Round 3. Keep in mind you will still be walking long distances, so we recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes for in-between parties

what to expect PREFERENCE: PREFERENCE:
OVERVIEW: Preference round is the final round of recruitment This day you will attend one or two houses for 55 minute parties each This round is a reflection of the deep connections and strong bonds that sororities cherish These events typically involve sharing personal stories, rituals, and traditions that are unique to each sorority
WHAT TO EXPECT: During the preference round of recruitment, you can anticipate a more intimate and heartfelt experience as you narrow down your choices to one or two sororities Expect a serene and inviting atmosphere as you attend preference events, which are often held in elegant settings Some chapters may also have ceremonies specific to their chapter rituals You'll have the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with current members and gain a deeper understanding of the sorority's values and sisterhood. The Preference round is a time for reflection and introspection as you consider which sorority resonates with your own values, goals, and aspirations. It's a time to listen to your intuition and make a decision that feels right for you.
TIPS & TRICKS: This is the last opportunity you will have to speak with chapter members before making your final selections, so if there is a question you have on your mind, now is the time to ask!
QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER:
Can I truly envision myself spending time with these individuals? Can I see myself being in the same new member class as them?
Have I had interesting and intriguing conversations with these members over the last four days?
Why have I wanted to come back to this chapter? Why have these people chosen to join and stay in their chapter?
Which house will best challenge me to grow and prosper while also supporting me at all times?

what to wear
Preference Round is nice and fancy attire, and is the dressiest of all the rounds! Wear clothes that you would wear to a school dance (although full gowns as you may have worn to prom are too formal!) or as a guest to a wedding. Heeled shoes or dress shoes are appropriate for Preference Round since you will be attending a maximum of 2 houses this day. Just like Round 3, we recommend comfortable walking shoes for when you are not in a party!
