Since 2010, The Circle of Sisterhood Foundation has been able to support organizations working to remove barriers to education in 28 countries on 4 continents, including funding the construction of 42 school builds in remote villages in Guatemala, Haiti, Malawi, Mali, Nepal, Nicaragua, and Senegal It has also funded 118 grants to other nonprofits whose mission aligns with that of Circle of Sisterhood The Panhellenic community at Georgia Tech has worked to personally fund two school builds thus far In March 2018, we funded a school build in Sass-Mack, Senegal, sending 18 sorority members to work alongside the local community Recently in 2022, we funded a school build in Cantón La Soledad, Guatemala which broke ground in March 2023 and is projected to be complete by the end of August 2023 Our community has also funded grants including a grant in 2020 to the MoonCatcher Project, an organization that helps keep girls in school while they are experiencing their period Our grant has provided 3,200 kits for women in Malawi, 2,000 kits for women in Kenya, and 1,500 kits for women in Uganda.
