Curry College - Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL)

A Personalized Education That Meets You Where You Are

Nothing should stand between you and a great education, even if you learn differently. For over 50 years, our Program for Advancement of Learning (PAL) has been a national leader in providing a personalized, strength-based education for college students with diagnosed learning differences, executive function challenges, and/or ADHD.

As the first program of its kind in the country, PAL redefines what academic support can look like in higher education. Through credit-bearing courses, one-on-one instruction, and a deep understanding of neurodiverse learners, PAL empowers students to succeed academically while also developing confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.

Our experienced faculty do more than teach, they advocate and build lasting relationships with students. Students in PAL are known not just for their resilience but for becoming leaders in and beyond the classroom. That’s why nearly 1 in 5 incoming Curry students chooses PAL each year: it’s not just a support program, it’s a launchpad for lifelong success.

“ PAL’s approach to course design and delivery emphasizes creativity and flexibility, facilitating engaging learning experiences for students that may include hands-on activities, real-world analysis, information literacy, and simulations.”
