HEY KEY-UTIES!

I hope everyone’s summer is going amazing! We are beginning to have events again after our small break during exam season. If you feel like you’ve been rotting in bed doing nothing this summer, some community service would definitely be helpful in changing that!

I’d also like to mention to our rising seniors in the magnet program that required community service hours should be completed soon. This will allow you to spend the school year focusing on your internship. So, if you’re still missing those hours, you are in the right place! Go to the upcoming events page to find more info on our next service events.

It’s starting to feel like the new term has actually begun, especially with the announcement of our new DLT. Congratulations to all our new electees! I’m also honored to be June’s officer of the month for the division!

That’s all for now, but my DMs are always open for any questions or concerns!

WHAT’S QUACKING DUCKS?!

For the month of June, we have several events coming up. Some of them being the Just One Project, Opportunity Village Thrift Store, and several interclubs lined up. We recently solidified our Wingstop fundraiser! Save the date, June 17th, from 12 p.m to 8 p.m.

Congratulations to Jasmine Centeno for Officer of the Month Division-Wide! Our Officer of the Month is Ashtynn Dunn. She helped plan our first successful out-of-school fundraiser. Unfortunately, no Member of the Month this time, but we hope to have one for July! For those who are interested in participating in more Division Wide activities, look into joining D28N spirit committee ran by Alexis, our Lieutenant Governor. I have sent Canyon Key Club's first summer email regarding our summer events. If you're not part of the email list, please reach out to our Instagram so we can add you on there. We look forward to seeing you at future events.

Have a fantastic June and

The June DCM was a joint DCM for region 5 and took place at Del Sol Academy. Thank you Del Sol for hosting!

“I really enjoyed going to the June DCM! I love to stay up to date with all the things that Key Club has to offer and this was a great way to do that. Also, it was another great way to experience helping the community by making no sew bags out of shirts to give to homeless people.” - Hayleigh Ashtynn Dunn, 12

“On June 5, a couple presidents met up with Alexis, our LTG, to hang out and paint pottery! We talked about our key clubs, about what genre of music we liked, and others. We also walked around to other stores like the kpop store and bath and body works! we also got froyo because it was so hot out. I had so much fun this time and we are looking forward to the next one!” - Karena Tien, 12

“Our club is trying to plan better for RTC this year, so we started making some of our spirit posters! It was fun to hang out with other members of e-board, while also getting some work done.”JasmineCenteno,12
