I hope everyone’s summer is going well! It’s been very hot in Vegas, which is one reason that it’s been difficult to plan service events. We hope to have more consistent attendance for our service events after the school year starts. Since we’re on the topic of service, INCOMING
Do you have your required magnet service hours completed?! It is HIGHLY recommended to have your hours completed so you can focus on your internship for the rest of the year. Be sure to stay updated on our events when we start back up again!
I know we keep talking about RTC preparations, but it is a very important event coming up! If you are interested in joining Spirit Committee to help create spirit gear and chants, let us know on Instagram, or let our VP of Spirit, Sky, know directly! RTC is a lot more fun that you might think it is, so I encourage you all to start thinking about going. By the time the August newsletter is out, school will be starting again. :’) Enjoy the rest of your summers, I’ll see you again soon!
Jasmine Centeno, Tech Editor 2024-2025
For the month of July, we have very minimal service opportunity planned. We are hoping to finish up our RTC plans before September rolls around. So far, Jasmine, our Tech Ed and I, have made 2 posters and 2 chants. We are waiting for our other board members to solidify ideas for their posters and chants.
There is a T-Shirt design contest for any D28N member who wants to design the Fall Rally South T-Shirt. If anyone is interested in more details about the contest, feel free to reach out to me or our instagram! The division's spirit committee applications closed a few days ago, but I hope to see some people apply regardless of whether or not they got a position!
Congratulations to Jasmine for obtaining Division Officer of the Month again! As for our club, there is no member of the month. As for officer of the month, congrats Jasmine for always being an outstanding officer and setting high standards for our club.
I hope everyone has a fabulous July! See you in August, Ducklings!

Regional Training Conference (RTC) is often regarded as the most important Key Club event of the year! Many people mention that RTC is their favorite part of Key Club, or the reason they joined in the first place. Knowing the significance of this event, the Canyon Springs Key Club e-board has been working hard to prepare for this event early! E-board members are beginning to create posters and brainstorm chants, collaborating with each other to create these things.
“I have so much fun making our key club posters! Jasmine, my Tech Editor and I, designed two posters and now I'm cutting them out and painting them. I can't wait to see what our other board members have come up with for posters and chants!” - Karena Tien, 12
To prepare for the start of the school year, we are starting to create and plan promotional activities. This includes creating promotional flyers that will go on thewallsaroundourschool.
“Although I’m not a tech editor, I’ve always prided myself on all the posters I make for Canyon Springs. Key Club is of course no different. The plan is to Pokemon based on ducks working on cleaning their community.”-VivianChen,12
Our secretary, Vivian, has been working hard to keep the MRF up to date and submit it to the division on time. She has to input information about our fundraisers, service events, and more.
“The MRF always needs to be updated in accordance to our club’s efforts. It’s always good to keep up to date to improve our AAR.”-VivianChen,12
July 20, 7:30-10:30| Canyon Springs Parking Lot
One of our recurring service events is a pop up food drive with the Just One Project. Members volunteer to help pack food, distribute food to cars, or sign people in. This event tends to endearlier, so plan accordingly.

Our division is having a t-shirt design contest for Fall Rally! If you love to draw, I highly suggest you submit a design! The full details are on the division Instagram.
Jasmine works hard to turn in tech editor submissions on time. She communicates and works with others to get tasks done. She’s not afraid to ask for help, like completing a doc to submit or asking for an extended due date when she knew she would need it.
