Sacred Spaces Issue

Crystal Connections From the Editors That 4" Prision I tell ya what, the hamster wheel known as my brain has been working overtime! I am an Empath, and that means I tend to feel the energies going on around me. I forget that the anxiety isn't always mine. So I get stuck, spinning circles in that 4" prison between my ears. It should be a sacred space. Sometimes it gets filled with exciting ideas. Sometimes it gets filled with the noise of social media, elections, protests, shoulds, what ifs, and what the f*cks.

Does this sound familiar? Reclaim your sacred space within and repeat after me, "What's mine is mine, what's theirs is theirs, and may it return to them, cleansed and renewed,

with love. And so it is."

Coming Home (to myself) I love Autumn but it often feels disjointed and chaotic. It is a time of transition in a year that has been all about transition for me. I started to feel lost and spread too thin. I realized I needed to ground my energy. I created a sacred space in one of my power spots where I could find my center. I called my power back to myself. Thanks to this sacred space I now have the strength to head into the winter with joy and energy. Creating sacred space is an important tool for focus and creativity. Many Blessings!

Let me tell you, those bags are heavy

The Weight of the World by Joey Mahnke Every girl has baggage. You know what I am talking about. And let's be honest.. it's just not girls. It's that mismatched crazy carpet bag baggage you have been toting around for 20 plus years with six tons of dust that you just can't seem to let go of. It's that brand new shiny Kate spade red leather handbag that's price tag came at a cost. It comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms. Such as friends, family, weight gain, depression, insecurity, and clutter. I know personally my baggage needed several carts to tote it around up until the last couple years...

So what changed? What happens when we ditch the

When you stop focusing on all these crazy negative things or people it allows for your mind to start focusing on the good things in life. And what we focus on... grows. The first thing I did for me was ditch the negative baggage in the human form. I didn't pick up the phone and say, "Hey.. I can't be your friend anymore". I just simply decided to hide them from my social media, answer fewer and fewer message, change the subject when it went south, and if necessary.. I blocked them completely. Granted, I lost a lot of friends and even some family that way, but I opened up so much space for people I didn't know yet who were meant to be there. I cultivated new strong friendships, a fresh marriage with a man who truly has my back, and I grew as a mom and person. I no longer felt like I needed to hide who I was but celebrate it.

Sometimes even though it is hard to swallow you need to look around and see if the people in your life are doing you service and vice versa, are you serving them.

When you open up that kind of positive space and light in your life you tend to step back and say, "What next?!" with complete enthusiasm. Enthusiasm you didn't even know you had. This can easily lead into wanting to get rid of that baggage in the "I don't really love myself or have confidence," department. Let me tell you... those bags are heavy. They are the kind you have to open up, dig to the bottom, and face head on. They come In the forms of weight gain, depression, insecurity. There is a trick to working on those though.. and I am going to let you in on it.

my health and loving myself than it did about weight. I thought if I could just lose this weight, I will be happy. Well, I lost 120 pounds while stressing about the scale and because I didn't genuinely accept myself or have a shred of confidence the second life got tough I gained half of it back and to this date I still have 150 pounds to lose to have a healthy BMI (or what I call the bullshit index).

Confidence is sexy! As of today I have never felt better though.. and the more I workout and go workout with friends the more confident I get. Confidence is sexy! It rules the world... and if you don't believe that I dare you to try it on. Take it out of that carpet bag, steam it out, and slip into it. with Teri Bach

Our subconscious is a sacred space. But we often don’t have a clue what is being held there. As a money coach, I know that some of what resides in our subconscious mind is old paradigms from our parents about money. We learned about money about it

Let’s do a little exercise to see what might be in your subconscious mind about money:

The Sacred Space Within You by Elizabeth Guilbeault of Daring Spirits

We all have sacred spaces we like to go. Places outside of ourselves that we find comfort and peace - the theater, the

gym, our room, a hammock, the beach

It is lovely to have these places, to find calm, to connect to ourselves, and to relax or unwind. What if we had a place like that within ourselves? Perhaps right in our own space that we could retreat to anytime we wanted throughout the day, to find perspective and grounding?

What if I told you that place existed right behind your eyes? You see, right behind your eyes, in the center of your head, is a place for you

– only you. No one else is invited. This

is a sacred space for you to find neutrality, non-judgment, and peace. Sitting in the center of your head creates an opportunity to pull back. You can go there now, if you like. Simply close your eyes and pull your attention back behind your eyes into the center of your head.

When things feel intense, center of your head. When things feel overwhelming, center of your head. When things feel chaotic, center of your head. When things feel harsh, center of your head. When you can’t see your next step, center of your head. When you feel too close to a situation and have trouble connecting to your truth, center of your head. When you are having the best day of your life, center of your head. When you are overjoyed with good news, center of your head. When you are in the weeds at work or in life, center of your head.

There is no wrong occasion to jump in and be in the center of your head. The center of your head, much like those sacred spaces we use to de-stress from the day, acts as a place to re-group. It is a place of neutrality and nonjudgment (two very handy energies to work with on a daily basis). It reminds us to step back, get the 10,000-foot view, and notice the possibilities. When you pull back from life, get a bigger picture, see more of what’s in front of you, things shift, things feel easier, things lighten up a bit. Center of head allows that transformation.

The next time you feel as though you need a different perspective and don’t have time to visit one of your external

sacred spaces to reflect, use the center of your head. Pullback behind your eyes

and spend time there every day throughout the day - you may find yourself wanting to hang out there more and more

as you note what opens up to you and for you when you operate from that vantage point.

How My Yoga Mat Serves Me by Janine Marsh Reed

I started yoga because those who did yoga looked incredible. Their bodies were toned, their skin looked amazing, they had a glow to them, and who doesn’t want to achieve that. What I didn’t realize, was the journey though self-reflection and growth is how that glow is attained. I assumed that you show up to yoga and like any workout routine, you strive to do the poses better each and every time. What I found while doing yoga is how my mat and I met each class that made the difference. No two meetings were the same. Sometimes the beginning of the meeting would totally change direction by the end. It is a beautiful, raw, and peaceful encounter if you allow it to be.

The Meeting I have a little OCD issue with things matching, and so it is a sure bet my yoga clothes and accessories matched. Since it’s not like the regular gym, I will not be so active and things go slow, I bought the cutest outfits. My mat, towel, blocks, and straps are purple, my favorite color. I was prepared. I got to class and laid out my mat, my towel, put my stuff off to the side and waited for class to begin. Every time I sat, did a pose, a flow, took shavasana on my mat it was different. There was something happening and I was not sure what it was. The one thing I knew for sure, this is where I was supposed to be. Being on my mat allows me to be with myself in silence with my thoughts. The teachers tell you to release things that come up, to not worry about after class, so you can be present for this class, this moment. As uncomfortable as I felt, the more comfortable I became.

The poses Why why why can’t I do Eagle? Why is this so hard for me? Class after class I try and am doing the best I can with each pose and failing terribly in my mind. So I stay in the back so no one can see me and I can watch everyone else. I felt so embarrassed that I could not flow from pose to pose, that I could not stay in the pose, that I could not be the best and impress in the pose.

Then I read a book called "I'm Perfectly Perfect" by Baron Baptiste and he wrote it is how you go into and come out of the pose that makes the difference Oh I do not have to be perfect; I do not have to bind ; I do not have to hold completely. If I go into the pose knowing that I love myself, and I am at ease, the pose becomes more acceptable. When I come out of my pose with no judgments, harsh words, or negativity, my heart and soul grow. The other day I almost did a bind doing eagle, the next day was not even close, and I am at peace with that.

The emotions Who would have thought that any form of exercise would bring about emotions? Yoga started out as exercise but has turned into a daily practice. Something that I cherish, that I depend on to calm my spirit and reflect on my day. I read Yoga for Life by Colleen Saidman Yee and she spoke about sobbing one day after class. I was like, wow that is cool for you but how in the world can yoga bring you to tears and then sobbing. Really? I hear the teachers talk about how certain poses can bring up things for people. Never understood that until one day after class I was asked how was it? To which I replied, it was hard, not the poses, but just hard. That would be the emotions. From that moment on I started to dig deep while in class and notice what I was feeling. Most times I am feeling good, sometimes not so much. I have cried during a class before, (it was hot yoga so I played it off as sweat) I have felt emotions running from deep gratitude to deep fear. Certain poses at times will release a block and I can feel it go. I allow it to release and it is a freeing moment. Now I am learning how to accept and notice the emotions that come with each pose. I can now embrace them and learn from them and grow deeper as a person. It is a blessing.

The lessons Yoga continues to teach me. I learn things about myself from every class, every pose and every time I meet my mat. My mat will catch me when I fall. It will cushion me when I need to be supported. My mat is consistent in its presence, which in turn allows me to be present as well. It offers me the courage to continue, to cry, and to allow growth to happen. My mat allows me to be vulnerable and raw. Strength, compassion, guidance, love, and authenticity are offered to me at any time my mat and I meet. It is my safe place. My mat serves me with the highest intentions of feeding my soul.

Janine is a meditation leader, essential oil distributor, yoga teacher, Reiki Master, and culinary arts graduate. Janine feels there is nothing more magical, beautiful, raw, and authentic then when women gather to support, hold space, and love one another. This is Janine's passion, to make sure all women are given this beautiful gift.

Tarot Forecast by Jasmin

November

&

December The Emperor, The Sun (reversed), and Knight of Wands The cold months are coming, but I see a lot of sunshine. If you live in the northern hemisphere and are anything like my cat and me, the electric blanket comes out when it's still only October. By the time November and December get here, we're living full time under blankets and sweaters with the heat cranked up. And yet, here we have warm colors for November and December.

For November's energy, we've got The Emperor, a majestic king of a cat upon his thrown. One thing can be said of this Emperor (or Em-purr-er if you'll let me); he's got his shit together. And he's calling for us to get ours together too. Under this cat is a solid foundation, helping him achieve a height from where he can have a better view. Take a page from this cat and lay out your foundation. If there's a goal you've been dreaming of, know that dreaming is only part of the equation to getting there. It's important to put in the steady, perhaps tedious effort of building on those dreams, figuring out how to realize them. This will be a good month to explore what you need to take control of in your life and to piece together what is needed to get to a better place. It might involve some work you just don't want to do, but getting it done now will mean a more stable footing in the future. Some trade-offs may be worth it.

The Sun reversed for December is only all too fitting. The days are getting shorter, and we're literally dealing with less sunshine in our lives. Winter isn't my favorite time, and it might not be yours either. But it just means we have to work a little bit harder to fill our lives with some sun at this time. I personally purchased a plant light for my plants and myself. It'll be important to remember to take care of ourselves, and not beat ourselves up too much if we're just not feeling the happiest or most energetic. The days are shorter for a reason; we're supposed to slow down. This month will be a good time for searching inward. If you're truly unhappy, how can you get back on the right track? Consider the foundation you've been laying for The Emperor in November to ensure that you've got it all there. Maybe there's a piece missing. Are our actions in line with our passions? Do we have the skills we need to succeed? If not, it's not the end of the world; it just means more work is needed. Hard work isn't always the most enjoyable, but it'll help get us where we want.

The Knight of Wands guides us over the next months, and he's a wonderful guide to have. Follow your heart. Take action. Use him as your motivation for trudging through the winter months and reaching whatever lofty goals you've set for yourself. This knight asks us what we find to be sacred, and then commands us to chase after it. If you've been ignoring your inner needs, he's going to call you out on it. They can't be ignored anymore, so we might as well grab the reigns and address them head on. He brings more sunshine and warmth with him, so if we can follow his lead, I think we'll have a productive and fulfilling next two months.

Lunar Monthly Masterclass You already read and share blog posts and videos on the Full moon and what to expect from the energy. You do a New moon and Full moon mini ritual. Kind of. Idk..... I read it on the internet somewhere...... You know the moon has energy. But what does that actually mean for you? In my course, Lunar Monthly Masterclass, we go over what it means and how to use it in your everyday, modern life. Each month we take an in-depth look at the energy of the ENTIRE lunar cycle. Think about it, you know the new and full moon have energies to support us, why no love for the other phases? Each phase has its own unique energy and when you can align with that energy and operate within it (meaning doing certain tasks at certain optimal times), life becomes a little easier. It becomes more enjoyable and things just seem to click in place. Lunar Monthly Masterclass is for the gal with the side hustle or her own full time gig. If you’ve ever wondered why sometimes you work your tail off and see no results, and other times it feels like you put in very little effort for a lot of return? What if you were INTENTIONALLY in complete flow ALL the time? What if you were able to hit your business goals quickly and easily with a type of effort that just feels natural and kind of fun? REFLECT

SACRED SPACE & QUIET TIME REGROUP

RECHARGE

Creating space for solitude We all need time to reflect, think matters over, and just to have quiet time. It's an important matter for our spiritual development as well. A positive energy space where we can tune into our spiritual guidance, seek answers and recharge our energies. This space is very personal and should reflect the energies that you as a person desire and promote. Some create an altar with symbols and objects to harmonize their energy. Figurines, statues, stones, crystals and candles.

And talking about quiet, there is the topic of meditation. How, when, where? It can take many forms, as long as there is a time to recharge, ground and release any energies that are not in alignment. It can be as simple as taking a moment out of the day to stop, take a deep breath and feel the stress drain out of your body, to be replaced by fresh new golden light. It can be while you are driving, or stopped at a light, listening to the radio, and again, a breath to clear and ground.

What are you drawn to?

It can be a dedicated time of day when you set aside a period of time, an hour, or whatever works for you. Take the time to relax, visualize your place of peace, and feel the day's stress release and ground out. Replace it with golden light, recharging and filling you with love. I find that if I am going to be doing a workshop, or class, or some intensive energy work, that I take a break ahead of time to renew my connections. I ground, charge and open to spiritual energy. I talk to my guides and higher self to ensure that all will be in alignment with positive thought.

When I moved into my new apartment, I realized that what should have been a formal dining area would be perfect for my mediation area. I placed a recliner near the center, with its back to one wall. My bookcase sits against the far wall, and will have my library of spiritual guidance to fill the area. Various symbolic items decorate the shelves. Fairies and angels, charms and crystals. I'll be able to play relaxing music or meditation tapes and relax in the quiet atmosphere.

Other times, during the day to day routines, I might just listen to my favorite music to start my day, or to refresh my energy. If I have a situation that troubles me, I step back mentally and release, run fresh energy and breath. Each of us has a style that works for us. If you haven't worked out your own, than try a variety of techniques and see what works best. And don't be surprised if what works at firs is later replaced by something different. It's a growth cycle, and each phase is a stepping stone to your becoming the being that you are meant to be.

An example of a mediation that you can use for an extended process is the guided visual. Sit quietly in your sacred space, away from any distractions. Breath deeply several times, each time sending relaxing thoughts to parts of your body; feet, legs, hands, arms... and so on. Feel any spots that might require extra release as that is where you might be holding tension. Pay attention to what your body tells you. Once you have reached a relaxed state, do a mental image of a place that you find soothing. It can be a beach, a meadow, forest. This becomes your visual location that you can go to in times of deep mediation. Spend whatever time you need. You can do several different journeys using this technique. Once you are done with the quest, you can return to your sacred space and open your eyes.

Ask The Wizard Question from one of our readers: I experience synchronicities often, and they tend to be quite elaborate. I was wondering what is your take on them.

Answer: My take on meaningful coincidences is that they are there to present you with assistance on your path. Sometimes they are non-chance meetings between souls who have had a relationship of significance in a past life and are just there to give a nod to those past connections. As such, they may open our eyes to how spiritual relationships occur even on the spiritual realm and over eons of time. Other instances are the circumstances that Universe gives us to reward or progress on a

project that we are interested in. Events that seem to happen with no causality, yet offer us an opportunity to progress along a given direction. Two examples that I often use for this: first, when I was living in my first house and my wife at the time was pregnant with our second child. We needed a larger home, and I said the next time a realtor left his card, we would investigate. Within a week a card appeared. We contacted him, and as he started to show us homes, the house next door went on the market. That was the home we purchased. Second, I was parking my car at a science fiction convention and as I got out of my car, a former girl friend of mine got out of her car parked right next to mine. This previous relationship was fraught with coincidences like that. I later explored our past lives together and found that we had many, but this current one was just passing by and acknowledging one.

November & December Numerology Report Fabulous Fall everyone! As we leave the outrageous October with fun, harvest, and newness we enter into the 11/2 energy of November. 11/2 is a master number in numerology. It is all around inspiration energy! Inspiration is the connection of others, with ourselves as we bring and collaborate our light and bring it to the world. What relationships are you supporting, creating, intending? Who do you want to collaborate with? Even the light beings who operate more solely may have the desire this month to come together with others to collaborate something new. What is your intent to bring to the world?

We will soon be leaving this Universal 9 year to enter

energy of 12 is a 3, 1+2=3. What is the 3 energy....the trinity...fascinating right?

There are no accidents. So as we, as individuals, the 1, come together with our HIGHER self and others, 2, we create the 3! So what new things will you be creating to end this beautiful magnificent year of 9,

Would journaling support that? What way can you express that to support yourself and help shift that energy inside you? How can you express your gifts to the world this month to support the love and growth? It truly is about getting you out into the world. With of course fun, play and ease! It is a fun month as well!

tips on how to welcome healing into your life this holiday season:

1.Create a space of peace. Find a spot in your house or bedroom and make it a peaceful place to go.

3.Ask for help. Talking it out is helpful.

2.Write. Write it all out. Whatever emotions you feel at any given time, if the anger arises, just write. It’s a huge release.

4.Set boundaries. Create boundaries and times when you are unavailable because you are taking time to focus on yourself and your journey in healing.

5 Send love. This is probably the most difficult, but it has brought tremendous peace into my life. Send love to the people or events that have hurt you. Send light from you to that person or event. It’s a type of love that you don’t have to physically express, but it helps turn the anger into peace.

Just remember that healing takes time. It won’t be an overnight thing. Healing is a moment-to-moment, thoughtby-thought process. Healing is a journey for you and you alone; no one can heal for you. Sending you much love.

Jillian LaDage Enchanted Winter Limited Edition CD/Digital with coloring download

"With song and tale we pass the wintry hours..." Inspired by the beauty and change of seasons, Autumn to Winter, in the night sky comes Enchanted Winter from 'eclectic' Celtic World Singer/Composer Jillian LaDage, known for taking audiences on a breathtaking voyage around the globe with her 'eclectic' Celtic and Middle Eastern inspired themes. Her soaring dramatic soprano vocals journey through the pages of the centuries where the mysteries and legends await discovery.

“Jillian LaDage’s voice is breathtaking.” (Catherine L. Tully, Celtic MP3’s Music Magazine) "Enchanted Winter" features nine winter seasonal pieces to capture the enchantment of an ancient winters evening. The album was recorded in a very minimal setting to give the listener a feeling of sitting by a roaring hearth immersed in a live performance from their very own Troubadour. With brand new compositions alongside lesser known traditional songs, Enchanted Winter, takes on a wide range of musical nuances from Traditional Irish/Scottish, Contemporary Celtic to Middle Eastern. The literary work of Sir Walter Scott’s “Christmas In The Olden Time” set in hauntingly medieval harp strains lead to the traditional inspired lament “Come Winter Ground” into Middle East dance inspired rhythms of “Bergamask Dance.” Enjoy the beautiful song Click here to receive 2 Free Celtic "The Holly and the Ivy" on Jillian's Mid East downloads, from Jillian!
