GLENS FALLS – On Wednesday, April 24, at 7pm, Southern Adirondack Audubon will host Bernie Grossman as he presents, “Birding Bhutan,� a program about his travels through Bhutan, a mountainous country in the foothills of the Himalayas. Bhutan is a beautiful land, filled with amazing views, old fortresses and monasteries, and a varied bird life. Bernie’s talk will be illustrated with his photos. GLENS FALLS – The Shirt Factory Gallery hosts its first in a series of readings by local writers on Saturday, April 20, at 2pm. The Gallery is located on the first floor of the Shirt Factory, at the corner of Lawrence and Curran Streets in Glens Falls. Authors reading on April 20 are Mike Mender, Maury Thompson and Sarabeth Oddy. The program is open to the public and free of charge. It is the first in a series of occasional writer programs at the Shirt Factory Gallery. Additional readings are scheduled at 2pm on Saturdays, July 20, August 17 and October 19.
