Children's Concert at Library GLENS FALLS – Guitarist Cory Austin-Avon performs a children's concert called “Super Happy Fun Time: Kid Songs with Cory Austin-Avon� at Crandall Public Library's Children's Activity Room on Wednesday, April 3, from 6:30-7pm. The show is geared toward kids from birth up to age eight (along with their families). On the set list: Interactive sing-along tunes, upbeat covers and kid song favorites. GREENWICH – The Whipple City Festival committee invites local artisans – potters, jewelers, quilters, leather workers, paper makers, cheese makers, stone carvers, basket makers, silversmiths, painters, photographers, and more - to join Greenwich’s vibrant summer street festival in selling their handmade art and wares in a brand new, traditional style Artisans Market! The 2013 Whipple City Festival Artisans Market strives to feature handmade items created by real artists and fine craftspeople from our region. The well attended, family-friendly Whipple City Festival will take place June 14 & 15. The Artisans Market will be held on Saturday, June 15 from 9am-6pm in Mowry Park, Greenwich. Glens Falls National Bank Announces Three Promotions GLENS FALLS – Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company is pleased to announce the promotions of Melissa LaFiura to Vice President of Employee Development, Denise Conklin to Information Security Officer and Luke Kelly to Indirect Loan Officer. In her expanded role, Ms. LaFiura oversees recruitment, training, succession planning, employee relations and recognition, mentoring and retention. In her role as Information Security Officer, Ms. Conklin manages information security and assessment. She joined the Bank in 2006 as a Micro Computer Associate. In his new role, Mr. Kelly works as an Indirect Loan Officer in the Indirect Lending Department. He joined the Bank in 2009 as a Mortgage Closer. (P)

Spring Cleaning? Donations Are Needed MILTON – Donations of used household items (excluding clothing and electronics) are needed for the Milton Grange's annual garage sale on April 6. Proceeds from the garage sale are used to support programs in the community including the ECHO Food Pantry and vegetable plants for Head Start students. The Milton Grange is part of the National Grange, which is the nation's oldest national agricultural organization providing service to agriculture and rural areas on a wide variety of issues, including economic development, education, family endeavors, and legislation designed to assure a strong and viable Rural America.
