TRANSFORMATION.... IN TIME OF WAITING As the Reformed Churches at Stuyvesant and Nassau move along in dedicating worship to the Acts of the Apostles, they come to Saul’s transformation on the road to Damascus. It was while Saul had been empowered to round up the followers of Jesus and extradite them to Jerusalem for trial, that he was blinded and stopped in his footsteps by a voice which he identified as that of Jesus, asking, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” Saul (later called Paul) was led to the city, stopped his former mission, and waited. He waited three days-blind, not eating or drinking; then a godly disciple of Damascus, called Ananias, to whom God made known the conversion of Saul, baptized him and restored his sight. Once he could see, Saul’s transformation from persecutor to pro claimer in Christ was complete. Join us and come to understand that each of us may need to wait, wait and give up our comfort, wait, as God changes us into the person he wants us to become in service to him. The Stuyvesant Reformed Church worships at 9 a.m. in its sanctuary where Church St. meets Route 9J, in the hamlet of Stuyvesant. The Nassau Reformed Church worships at 11 a.m. in its chapel at the Church-School-Building, 43 Church Street (Rte. 20), Nassau.
