APHS MUSIC DEPARTMENT INVITES THE COMMUNITY
The Averill Park High School Music Department would like to invite the community to their concerts this year! As always, concerts begin at 7pm unless otherwise indicated, and take place in the High School auditorium. As in years past, the music program has an active year planned. Some of the highlights include: May 17/18 – NYSSMA Solo/Ensemble Festival @ Columbia HS. Students “audition” on a solo or small ensemble work of their choice, performing for an adjudicator who gives them unbiased feedback. May 21 – APHS Music Department Concert and Reception, Annual Chicken BBQ. This coincides with the budget vote. May 24/25 – NYSSMA Instrumental Majors hosted at APHS. Various school ensembles (bands and orchestras) will travel to APHS to perform for adjudication. May 31 – APHS Arts Gala - 6pm. A final event featuring all of the senior (grade 12) artists (visual and performing) at Averill Park High School. We hope to see you at one of our events!
