Attention Averill Park parents!! Modified sports at Algonquin Middle School are not in the school district budget for the 2013–2014 school year. YES, we’ve heard this before, but please be aware that the Board of Education and the administration have made it clear that there is no possibility that these programs will be funded with district budget money next year. The only hope of restoring these programs is for concerned parents and coaches to work together and raise the necessary money. This is too important to ignore! Students “audition” on a solo or small ensemble work of their choice, performing for an adjudicator who gives them unbiased feedback. Various school ensembles (bands and orchestras) will travel to APHS to perform for adjudication. May 31 – APHS Arts Gala - 6pm.
