Community Events Board more inside… Sprint For Soldiers 5K CAPITAL REGION - Plan Ahead Events is pleased to present the Sprint For Solders 5K benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project. This event will be held on Sunday, October 13th, 2013 at the Saratoga National Park-Schuyler House Trail. This is a competitive yet fun and friendly event. The timed race allows you to run, jog or walk a scenic route with family and friends along the beautiful grounds of the Saratoga National Park-Schuyler House Trail! There will be an Awards Ceremony for top race performers for Age Groups and Teams. There will be music, snacks and of course, a special tribute to all Military participants. Sprint For Soliders is happy to support our beneficiary, Wounded Warrior Project. This event will raise awareness for this organization which began when several veterans and friends, moved by stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq, took action to help others in need. What started as a program to provide comfort items to wounded service members has grown into a complete rehabilitative effort to assist warriors as they transition back to civilian life. To register call 855-PAE-3060 or visit www.etouches.com/ SprintForSoldiersSaratoga.
