2011 FREE FAMILY FUN DAY AT BRUNSWICK BAPTIST CHURCH The members at Brunswick Baptist Church cordially invite members of the community to join them for the 2011 Free Family Fun Day. The family event features free pony rides, petting zoo, free carnival games, free Bounce Castle, free candy cotton, snow cones, popcorn, hot dogs and drinks. Special musical guests this year will be the old time singers, the Lost Radio Rounders. Uncle Sam and Betsy Ross will be there to carry along our theme, “Jesus Wants You”. There will be crafts, free “T” shirts, music and more! The event will be held at the church, located at 385 Grange Rd (Rt. 142) in the town of Brunswick on Saturday, July 9th, between 10 A.M. and 2 P.M. Girl Scouts is a wonderful organization in our local community! Girl Scout activities can be based on badges, journeys (bigger projects), service projects, or just for fun activities. Troops usually meet once every 2 weeks and there are optional neighborhood programs (ex. Ice skating, ice cream social), and council programs (ex. camping and travel opportunities) that girls can participate in as well. The younger troops tend to focus more on badge work, the middle school troops and high school level troops tend to focus more on travel and fun activities. Also in our community, we have a teen troop (6th – 12th grade) that is dedicated to hiking and only does trips during the year. Girl Scouts is for all girls kindergarten through 12th grade. We are forming new kindergarten troops now so that we will be ready by September. Our neighborhood supports girls attending Red Mill, Bell Top, Van Rensselaer, Goff Middle School, and Columbia High School. If interested, please contact me at: jennifer_demarco@hotmail.com.

The Town of Sand Lake is happy to announce the 2011 Summer Day Camp will run from July 5th through August 12th. The Summer Day Camp is for children entering 1st grade up to children entering 7th grade in the fall. Camp will operate Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Camp is a 6 week program, with a different theme each week and registration is $100 per child - per week. Registration and information packets are available on the town website, www.townof sandlake.us (under Youth Services) and at the Town Hall during regular business hours. TOWN OF POESTENKILL SUMMER CAMP It’s time to make plans for summer! The Poestenkill Summer Camp will be at the Poestenkill Firehouse this year! Camp will be July 11th through August 5th, from 9am to 3pm. Join us for theme days, field trips, water days, arts and crafts and much more. KIDS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT ST. TIMOTHY’S VBS For more than 25 years, St. Timothy’s has been creating summer magic at its Vacation Bible School. This summer we will help kids learn to see themselves as partners in building a Christian community where teamwork and the use of each person’s special talent is required. We will celebrate individuals who give their time and energy to help others and kids will learn that it’s OK to make mistakes because God isn’t finished with them yet! The “building crews” will rotate through areas at the “construction”, site which include crafts, science, stories and activities. At the Briefing for the Day, we learn our Bible verse through drama and music. Break Time will feature unique snacks and fun outdoor recreation activities. Hard hats will be provided, of course! Kids Under Construction runs from Monday, August 1, to Friday, August 5, from 9-12:30. Our dedicated and seasoned staff will guide children through all the phases of construction! Our Parish Nurse will tend to any construction “accidents.” The cost for the week is $20 per camper and there is a Celebration on Friday evening for families.
